Profile
Hello there, I joined Watching America because one of the things I have found most fascinating about travel is the experience of looking at the US though the eyes of others. This seemed like a perfect chance to revisit that feeling! When not translating I work in education - currently at East Palo Alto Academy High School where I am an Americorps volunteer, but in the fall of 2010 I will be making a big move to Colima, Mexico where I will live for the year. I will be working for the Universidad de Colima as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, perfecting my Spanish, and exploring more of Mexico. My long-term career interests revolve around ESL education and the general question of how to best meet the needs of young people, particularly in immigrant communities.
