Profile

I began learning Japanese as a freshman in high school and even passed the AP test. I took two semesters of Japanese at my university too. I also studied Japanese in Tokyo and relied heavily on my Japanese to fully immerse myself in Japanese society. I continue to teach myself Japanese as a hobby and keep in touch with my Japanese friends and host family through email and Skype. As a university student, I am majoring in German and minoring in history with a concentration on Europe and East Asia. I have completed a translation course, which covered translation methodology, theory and practice in German-English translation. I am very excited about this opportunity to hone my skills as a translator and a writer.
