A native of Ecuador, Dorian de Wind was educated in the former Netherlands Antilles and in the Netherlands. At the age of 17 he immigrated to the United States where he joined the U.S. Air Force and served his adopted country for twenty years retiring at the rank of Major. His second career was with Lockheed Martin where he held engineering, management and marketing positions world-wide. Both with the military and Lockheed Martin, Dorian has resided abroad and traveled extensively, including several years each in Saudi Arabia, Germany, England, Ecuador, the Netherlands Antilles and the Netherlands. Dorian has a bachelor's from Texas A&M University (with High Honors), a master's from the University of Southern Mississippi (4.0 GPA), and has done post-graduate work toward a doctorate in Computer Science. Dorian is fluent in English, Dutch and Spanish and proficient in German and French. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at several colleges and universities.
