Profile
I was born in Zhanjiang City, a small coastal city in southern part of Guangdong province in China. I graduated from middle school there and worked as a farmer, a factory worker and then immigrated to the United States in March, 1979. After I settled down in San Francisco, California, I worked as a dish washer in a restaurant, a salesman in a chicken store, a construction worker, a press operator, an office clerk, and a department supervisor. I graduated from City College of San Francisco with a major in Library Technology and earned a BA degree in San Francisco State University with major in Chinese Language and Literature. I am currently in training to becoming a healthcare interpreter. I have a happy family consisting of my wife, my son who is now working at Google, and my daughter who is currently studying in University of Oregon. I am always interested at doing translations in various fields including news, business and literature. There is a Chinese idiom saying "兼听则明,偏听则暗", meaning that “Listening to all sides will keep us bright, listening with bias will keep us in dark". I am looking forward to working with every one in the team and keeping every American informed objectively and comprehensively.
