Rachel Towers

Profile
Rachel is a 25-year old woman from New York City who works at Columbia University. Her love affair with the French language began in 2000, when she impulsively decided to go spend a year in France. 12 months later, she returned to the USA proudly bilingual, and has remained in contact with her friends over in Europe, using the language as much as she can despite her location (and of course, visiting from time to time). Rachel is delighted to be part of the team at Watching America and knows she will gain invaluable experience here to help her make a career out of translation and interpretation. A die-hard yoga enthusiast, her dream is to one day own her own yoga retreat. She also loves cooking, reading, hiking, camping, traveling everywhere she can, and of course, volunteering. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from New York University, and hopes to become certified by the American Translators Association soon.
