Reject Culture, Expose Hypocrisy

On Oct. 30, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered a speech at the Hudson Institute’s event attacking the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government, with his usual deception and dirty tricks, arguing that China challenges the United States and the world. Pompeo’s rumors, filth and smear tactics fully exposed his deep-rooted political prejudice and dark mind.

Some people in the United States have recently promoted strange ideas in an attempt to demonize China. Their Cold War thinking is quite shocking. It seems Pompeo follows a mental model—as soon as the word “China” is uttered, he can only jump to negative conclusions, which are completely inconsistent with reality and truth. He is paranoid about ideology and cannot tolerate China’s choice of path toward national development. He has repeatedly said that he hopes for China’s prosperity and progress, saying that the United States does not seek to confront the country. However, he consistently criticizes China’s internal affairs for no reason and has no respect for other countries at all, showing his hypocritical nature.

Pompeo’s defamatory words about China’s internal affairs are both ridiculous and unreasonable. Through nearly 100 years of struggle, China’s Communist Party has always represented and firmly safeguarded the fundamental interests of the Chinese people and worked tirelessly for the independence and liberation of the Chinese nation. In determining whether China is developing well or not, and whether China’s government is successful, the nearly 1.4 billion Chinese citizens should have the most say, and righteous people in the rest of the world can hold their own opinions. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China 70 years ago, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people have embarked on a path toward development well-suited to China’s national interests and have achieved great things that have garnered worldwide attention. China has become the world’s second largest economy; more than 800 million Chinese have been lifted out of poverty; China has the world’s largest middle class; its economic growth rate leads the world’s major economies; it has been the No. 1 contributor to world economic growth for many years. These irrefutable facts prove that this is a path toward development in line with China’s national interests, and a road that draws profound inspiration and reference from global development. Any attempts to obstruct China’s stable development will be in vain.

Pompeo’s disregard for international justice has occasionally been a staged trick to provoke conflict between China and other countries. HIs sinister heart is not worthy of this world. China has always pursued an independent foreign policy of peace. In this new era, China is committed to building new international relations and an interdependent community with all countries. China always stands on the side of justice. It has established diplomatic relations with 180 countries, and its circle of friends is growing. Through the joint construction of the “One Belt One Road Initiative,” China has accomplished great things and benefited many people, while actively and extensively collaborating with members of the international community. China continues to expand its openness and promote win-win cooperation with all the countries in the world. This strong foundation of friendship and mutually beneficial relations cannot be destroyed by anyone in any way.

Chinese-U.S. relations are among the most important bilateral relations in the world. Both historic and current events have fully proven that cooperation between China and the United States is advantageous, while conflict is detrimental. The world generally expects that U.S. policy toward China should be based in reality, maintain a rational basis and not be led astray by political paranoia and strategic misjudgment. It should be noted that at this critical stage in Chinese-U.S. relations, provocative words and deeds are wrong and may prove dangerous. The best way for China and the United States to get along is through mutual respect and the pursuit of common ground, and by acknowledging differences. People in the U.S. should be advised to put arrogance and prejudice aside, stop untimely incitement, follow the principles and directives set by the Chinese and U.S. heads of state, mitigate differences on the basis of mutual respect, expand cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit and jointly promote coordination, cooperation and stable Chinese-U.S. relations.

  1. The CCP runs the world’s largest dictatorship. It keeps over a billion Chinese citizens from access to the internet, from expressing their opinion, and from practicing their religion. 🙂
