It is known that any occupation of land or country ravages that country and creates havoc in that land. This is stipulated in the Holy Quran: “The Kings entered the village of ruin and made the noblest of its people submissive, and hence they were” (Surah 33-34). This was told by the prince of the faithful Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, whom the Gazan people have praised in their own humility.
The evidence is clear in showing that the root of corruption takes hold when a country is occupied. Today Iraq is living at the height of financial, administrative, moral and social corruption. At all levels U.S. corruption is gnawing at these aspects of state and society. The institutions of state and society are run by people and are appointed by the competent and professionals, but when a man is not appropriate and he sits in a sensitive place, there is no obstacle to corruption growing and spreading. This, naturally, is the job of the occupier, because the American occupier has prepared the circumstances that have put a Iraq under the rule of a certain class (which was hungry but is not yet satiated). This class had a dream of returning to Iraq, to their own homes, and when the precursor comes to them, they will own the reins of government and take over!
So on these grounds, you all will do what they have done, especially on the grounds that these are U.S. decisions that appear to have been adopted by the Iraqi people for the inward destruction of Iraq economically, industrially, agriculturally, intellectually and culturally, etc! Therefore, the occupiers did what they did because they are confident that there is no power to reject or condemn their ugly, divisive and colonial actions. They did what they did and killed, robbed, plundered, violated and wasted a country that is thousands of years old, based on the ideologies of a single and incoherent meathead. But the Americans are still being designated as “friendly forces,” even though they stole the capabilities of the people as well as their will. They have planted politicians and spiritual leaders through money and a sly, unprofessional media.
All the actions of the invader are brutal but have regressed after successful strikes against the honorable national resistance, which flattened their cohesion. No one said to me that there is no honest Iraqi resistance against the evil commander of the occupiers and their terrorism. Former U.S. President Bush declared that the U.S. military had occupied Iraq to resist those indigenous forces legitimately and liberally. That the White House ousted and maimed the resistance is not the real battle. The real battle is being plotted in dark channels that are devoid of foreign intelligence, foreign neighbors and disclosures.
In addition to the rejection, there is emerging a real firmness in religious beliefs and national origin in the Iraqi streets, mosques and squares, writers and nobles say. Strident Iraqi voices filled the spaces with echoes of rejection and dissatisfaction for the acceptance of the United States and its lackeys. Of course, not everyone is sleeping or acting like animals, but genuine Iraqis have little choice.
America rushed to withdraw some of its troops but was derided as a failure for not fully withdrawing its systems. While maintaining its higher interests, the U.S. wore a mask of deception, deceit and treachery to continue as the occupier of Iraq. But in a second form or possibly another? Is it not the security companies and their U.S. trainers who are the most cunning and greedy in Iraq? They want to stop the liberal and written releases from reaching the world as well as the applications of justice for all parts of the globe.
The security companies are currently unregulated, and the Iraqi constitution guarantees them the right to work securely and intervene blatantly at their own will, to lay the grounds of safety and security. I don’t know, does Iraq need a mercenary to maintain the security of its people? Woe to us if we cannot maintain our security through our own hands; as the saying goes, “The people of Mecca know the public!”
It is obvious to everyone what the Blackwater company did in Nusoor Square, where they killed 17 unarmed and Iraqis isolated for prayer. Will there be no Iraqi response to this heinous crime? These companies need to base intelligence and air cover for the protection of their headquarters. What’s more is that these security companies are where Iraqis are getting their money. But isn’t the money already from the assets of the people? What do they do specifically and what are their reservations? Who runs these companies? What are their achievements? All of these things, plus what we already know, tells us we need to be more self-aware of these wrongs and corruption.
These security companies are occupying Iraq in an unorganized fashion, and their intentions are not of a military fashion, like the army. Rather, the occupation is special to them. Their presence was absent in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so what changed in the system? Do we know if there are any among them that have ties to terrorists or the Wahabis? Did we forget that some of these companies have been carrying explosives and booby-traps from province to province, doing their evils to secure themselves and the U.S. presence in Iraq under the pretext of security?
We have the right to reject this new American occupation, so let us write, proclaim and do everything necessary to demonstrate the honor of our Iraq, our wounded lover. It is here that we can trace the position of Iraqi notable Mr. Sarkhi Hassani, who, as a respected person, has long held this position as the reason for the withdrawal of the United States. Why has this position not even been mentioned by the media despite the demonstrations and protests against the security companies?
