Obama Deflates

There were a lot of expectations and his [Obama’s] campaign has been so miraculous that people assumed he would resolve all the evils of the planet. That when he arrived in the White House, the economy would get better, world tension would dissipate, and people would be more prosperous and happy.
Exactly 23 days have passed since the emotional inaugural ceremony and there is practically no one who believes in the main player's miracle worker powers of the historic January 20.
Obama will fix some of the messes that were the legacy of his unpopular predecessor, but he does not appear to be in any condition to create a completely new order, not in the United States nor on the international scene. Fulfilling promises, like those about Guantanamo and Iraq, will take time and the illusion of the masses is instantaneously stained.
Like Carter, Clinton, and Bush, he will try to crown his presidency by signing a definitive peace agreement with the Middle East and just like them, more than likely, will be hit with a thud. He is going to brawl against the Islamic terrorists and will toss the others to Afghanistan, but we’ll see what face he puts on for the Alliance of Civilizations when it demands that he truly participate in the war against evil.
To top it off, he has stayed patent, which is not shrewd when it comes time to make appointments; and by the looks of the way that Wall Street has reacted to his multi-million dollar rescue plans, it seems that he doesn’t have any magic to revive the economy.
This does not invalidate Obama, nor does it lend credibility to the idea that his presidency is destined for disaster, but consider, with me, that the myth has deflated substantially. Even in November, when the fever was blinding, it was obvious that the magic would evaporate, the story of fairies would have a finish, and the halo of holiness that surrounded the candidate would end up blurred. The impressive part of it is the speed at which it actually did.
I, having been born when Harry Truman was still alive and having witnessed the presidency of twelve different presidents of the United States, calculated that Obamania would last a year. It hasn’t even lasted three weeks.

come on give the guy some time.
sure americans want a saviour.
that is their mentality with the religious thing and it carries over to politics.
americans must change not just the president.
the whole american system must be changed.
ie term limits for congress. etc.
america is in a massive decline and has been for decades it has been living off of its former wealth and credit.
reagan economics put the finishing touches on capitalism.
capitalism must self destruct as communism did.
both exploit its people.
imperialism and capitalism have a price. ie bankruptcy. check history on that one.
americans have a negative savings rate. econ 101 will tell you what that means in the long term.
our phd’s in economics who love debt get to see their theories work or not work as is this example.
americans are about to learn a vaulable lesson. capitalism leads to wars for profits and imperialism.
america the super power will not give up its imperialism easy. americans love their super power military take no names mentality.
we will learn the hard way but is that not how most people and countries learn?
few will understand my words. very few.
