It is useless to defend the secret place of corruption of our Arab world and the Middle East or to deny its existence rather than to censure the cause of the alarm. It is this defect or corruption that we heard about yesterday. According to the tips and warnings from U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the nations of the Middle East need to talk about the need to reform institutions and the corrupt political system and reverse the stagnation (She talks as though she were Mother Theresa).
Clinton is entitled to say what she wants about what she wants since she is a prominent spokesperson for the greatest nation in the world. No one can deny this fact, but there are questions that must be put forward by everyone and, in particular, by Sec. Clinton, regarding corruption. How did it come to Iraq, to Afghanistan and to every place with American influence in the region? Did they find fertile soil?
Perhaps Sec. Clinton wants to repair corrupt government institutions for American progress in Iraq because more than half of the people have become refugees within the country and everyone dreams of a droplet of oil and the country that is its greatest producer. Perhaps she wants to improve the political system by means of the “Afghanization” of every nation in the region! She is ignoring the fact that the region needs to repair American foreign policy first and keep its hand from interfering with the fate of their people. Is this lady of American diplomacy aware of that?
The hypocrisy evident in the policy will be imprinted on each visitor to the White House, no matter their affiliation, in the appearance of human rights advocates, supporters of the vulnerable in the world and sponsors of the peace and protectors of democracy. There will be little scrutiny into the comparison between the handling on the ground and the slogans that are proclaimed. This shows the hypocrisy; completely different rules are adopted when dealing with others, others who want to build a new plan for themselves, different from the previous American plan.
Perhaps Sec. Clinton and her office find the corruption they claim they have found in the region and exaggerate the risks. When they are looking to enter and intervene in the affairs of countries that were insurmountable for them, they try to use it as a stick, waving it in the face of the disobeyed orders and desires.
The writers in the Arab world have one big drawback when being critique’s of USA. It only makes them vent their apologetic ire. Poor Sec. Clinton hasn’t made Arab countries what they are – ruled by corrupt autocrats. Who, for example would she deal with in Syria? Or in the worst dictator Mubarak? The core of the problem lies with the Arab people. Why don’t they learn from America’s own struggle for freedom? the best example pertains to Britain – the Mother of Parliaments! The Arabs were better off with the Ottomans. Turks are a valorous people. They are not dictated or driven by America. Iraq defied the whole world. Syrians are captives of a ruthless dictator. Saudis are beggars seeking “Bakhshish” from the pilgrims. The change would come from within and the catchword is the sovereignty of the people. This is asserted through a functioning democracy played by the rules.
As for America, its Administration is no less corrupt. In fact America’s core malaise lies in its system of campaign funds. And who provides biggest amount of funds, if not the Jews? And by this token what do the Jews gain? Lest us have a look at them? They have been truly identified in the Qur’an as the greediest and the spreaders of corruption on earth. But not all Jews are bad. There are and they would continue to live righteously and promote righteousness though being weak and ignored. Here is Jewish history summed up in a capsule by a prominent Jewish writer: “Jews have rarely been in control of their destiny and where they impinged on history, it was because they were in trouble or troublesome! The bottom line is Arabs seems novices in playing the game with America.
