We Left Your Place Disgraced

First of all, know that Mullah Omar is not at all interested in dialogue with America and its puppet Hamid Karzai. Nor does he intend to engage in any discussions in the near future. Instead, the United States and Hamid Karzai are the ones making the false claims of negotiations and dialogue between the parties. The question to ask is, if the Taliban has absolutely refused to talk to the United States and Karzai, then why is the United States spreading rumors to the contrary? When I consulted some of my sources, I learned that the answer to the question can be found in the American plan to withdraw their troops from Afghanistan. More specifically, the answer can be found in the statement Obama made announcing the withdrawal plan.

Let’s review his statement. He said that the United States will begin withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan in July. According to the plan, 10,000 troops will be removed by the end of this year, 23,000 by 2012, and all of them by 2014. President Obama emphasized the dangers of al-Qaida to Pakistan and said that he will do all he can to fight al-Qaida members and other extremists in Pakistan. He claimed that it was time to wrap up the war in Afghanistan as the United States and its allies had succeeded in achieving their goals there.

The truth is that America is spreading rumors of “dialogue” with the Taliban because it wants to leave the region without being disgraced. They want to leave Afghanistan because they have paid a tremendous cost for their war: Thousands of their soldiers have returned home dead. The war has put a great strain on their economy. After having spent billions of dollars and losing thousands of their soldiers, America has lost the war in Afghanistan. They have realized that this war is not going to end anytime soon. Hence, they have decided to run away. The Taliban extremists, on the other hand, want to continue playing this game of aggression with the United States. The U.S. president has realized that if they stay there longer, they will end up paying a greater price than they did in their war against the Soviet Union. To repeat, America is withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan because it has suffered a great defeat there, and it is spreading rumors of dialogue with the Taliban so as not to face disgrace and humiliation when it leaves.

They say that we have started talking and negotiating with the Taliban and so our military presence is no longer needed in Afghanistan. When the United States declared war on Afghanistan in 2001, its primary goal was the obliteration of the Taliban. Did the United States succeed in its goal? Absolutely not. Instead, it went on to murder thousands of innocent Afghan citizens. The Taliban continues to thrive in Afghanistan. In fact, everyone in the 27 provinces there does exactly what Mullah Omar commands them to do.

Since 2001, all that America has accomplished in Afghanistan is the massacre of innocent Afghan people. Their puppet Karzai resides in a palace in Kabul. He even needs the permission of his American bodyguards to navigate the rooms of his own house.

The reason behind America’s plan to withdraw troops from Afghanistan is that it has been utterly disgraced and has to leave.
