Romney: Arrogant, Gaffer, Ironic

Mitt Romney is just the classic kind of gaffer that everyone is trying to avoid. His defeat in last Tuesday’s election was based on his own mistakes, not on the capability of Barack Obama’s team.

The Republican candidate made a mistake on basic policies concerning minorities, showing a lack of concern or sensitivity for African-Americans and Hispanics. I’m not referring to his ironic talks about the Greek people, not even to his denial to satisfy the main claim of Armenians about the Turkish genocide, that were all responsible for losing necessary votes in states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

He confronted the majority of people with arrogance and he paid for it; he will go down in history as a permanent contender for the Republican presidential nomination and the only person to see his dreams collapse, as he couldn’t bear normal people who weren’t fortunate enough to be born rich. He would be a bad president, serving only the rich, dragging America into new wars and remaining faithful to the theory of U.S. military superiority.

President Barack Obama was lucky to have the arrogant, multi-millionaire Romney as an opponent, as he proved to be out of touch with reality.

On election night, he was shocked by the results, as the U.S. came to the conclusion that Romney offered Obama an easy victory when he expressed his revulsion against the poor and non-privileged people.

During his first four years in office, Obama didn’t accomplish much. He made serious mistakes due to his obsessions with countries and people that were using him.

Let’s just hope that his victory will set him free and that he will fight for social justice, just like he promised.
