America Supports Terrorism!

Edited by Keith Armstrong

Egyptians are still unable to understand the American position reflected in the media. America advocates for the [Muslim] Brotherhood regime that the people deposed after it violated the legitimacy that brought it to power, shed the blood of innocent youths, assaulted the proud judiciary of Egypt and opposed the free media of Egypt over the span of a full year, during which the state’s foundations collapsed, exacerbating problems everywhere.

The revolution of the Egyptian people on June 30 did not take place throughout the entire country. They had only one word: “Leave!” Although some of them wrote it in English on their signs, the United States apparently did not understand it. The U.S. started to repeat that the army had deposed the president, scornful of the desires of the largest political rally in the history of mankind.

The masses came out in January 2011 to demand the fall of the regime, and the army sided with their will, taking over the administration of the state for a year and a half. However, we did not hear any objections from the United States then. On June 30 when millions came out, surpassing in number those who came out in 2011, the army once again sided with the will of the masses. It put out a map of the future that this time did not include its running of the state, but instead gave this responsibility to the civilians. So, how can this be a military coup?

The United States has given us a headache with its talk about fighting terrorism, but it is ignoring the Egyptian people’s regime, instead following the path of restoring the Brotherhood to power. That will never happen. The Egyptian people are vigilant, and they will run over all those who stand in the way of the realization of their desire.

The Brotherhood, which the United States defended, shed the blood of martyrs, whose numbers exceeded those who fell in January 2011. Its associates opened fire on unarmed protesters from within the Republican Guard headquarters in Al-Muqattam. They were with the republican president, declaring all those who were not with them “infidels” and “impure ones.” The leader of their group engaged in anti-Christian agitation the day before yesterday, attacking the Pope and making great threats against the country if the Brotherhood does not return again to the government. His followers left after that, killing people in Al-Maniel, in Al-Nahda Square, and in Mansura, while also attacking churches. Is this the legitimacy that the United States was talking about? Really, it is a continuation of the bloody history of the Brotherhood, full of killing and assassination. Really, it is the same as terrorism. When Washington stands with the Brotherhood, it does not support legitimacy. It supports terrorism.
