Why Does America Defend the Muslim Brotherhood?

The report concerning the Egyptian presidency came yesterday, confirming the failure of efforts undertaken over the past week by international envoys to attempt to solve the crisis in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is being held responsible for this failure, the breakdown of these efforts and for the end of the conflict's diplomatic stage. The Muslim Brotherhood is also being held completely responsible for the future consequences of this failure, and for all events and developments that follow in regards to breaking the law and exposing the community to danger.

Major American newspapers, such as The New York Times and Washington Post, each published an editorial attacking Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and defending the Muslim Brotherhood supporters protesting in Rabaa Al-Adawiya Square, urging American authorities to take a clearer stance toward Egypt’s political process. A Washington Post editorial said that “Sissi is listening to the protests from Washington and elsewhere. The leverage doesn’t seem to be having much impact. The administration soon will face starker choices.”

However, The New York Times did acknowledge that the Brotherhood’s repressive methods made the country slip into chaos, and criticized the administrative methods of Egypt’s military rulers for making the country much worse off.

This prompt and politicized information clearly reveals that liberty has fallen in America, along with the right to a media free of state control. The American media’s disgrace had already been revealed after the events of Sept. 11, but it has now been laid completely bare.

When did the American media pay any attention to trends in political Islam after the fall of the Soviet Union?

What happened after the Brotherhood took charge of Egypt? And what was it that changed America’s view of them? It is true that in politics there are no permanent friends, or enemies. But recent radical and surprising change in positions must open the door to questions. Is it really a deal? Was it the eight billion America paid to Morsi in exchange for parts of Sinai, as some Egyptian correspondents said? Or was it to safeguard Israel, along with American interests, in exchange for consolidating their rule?

Very wondrous indeed is this desperate American support for the survival of the Muslim Brotherhood and their attempts to restore Morsi to power. Except that all signs of wonder and questioning cease when we learn that the Muslim Brotherhood was the chief player for the implementation of a larger plan for the Middle East, starting with the “constructive chaos” project that Condoleezza Rice had adopted. The American administration found itself a more logical bet regarding the greater need for realizing that historical dream.

The Brotherhood’s rise to power in Egypt was tantamount to a complete guarantee of ِAmerica’s control in the region, through the Brotherhood’s party in Egypt, Ennahda in Tunisia, Hamas in Gaza, the Justice and Development party in Turkey or the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, Syria, Libya, Sudan and the Arab Gulf.

In short, it was merely a deal, and the great Egyptian people foiled it through an amazing assault on June 30, rejecting subservience and submission to the hegemony of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the policies of their ally, America.

Sisi’s faction decided to support the people’s revolution in cooperation with the military. They confined President Morsi, ending America’s dream of proceeding with the Great Middle East Project: Weakening the most powerful of Arab armies, exhausting the Egyptian nation and fragmenting the Arab nations into small weak nations in order to protect itself.

This immense project, planned by the American administration for many long years, collapsed easily. The Zionist enemy had been eagerly awaiting it, and it was on the verge of being actualized at the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood. Questions from American taxpayers concerning the fate of the billions they had paid Obama’s administration to give to the Muslim Brotherhood are unforgiving. Combined, all of this data will expose and strip bare the Islamic Jihadist veil that the Brotherhood wrapped in abayas for more than 80 years, and strip away the democratic veil that America boasts about so proudly. This is the very same democratic veil that America has ripped away throughout history when its interests were opposed!!!

The honorable Egyptians put an end to their concerns June 30. They had their say, and the hands of the clock will not turn back. Morsi will not return to power, and there will be the continuation of various types of protests that Morsi described as a crime, like the rush to Egypt’s Rabaa Al-Adawiya and Renaissance Squares. This crisis in Egypt has come to its inevitable and necessary conclusion. All of us wish for the great Egyptian army and all employees of the Egyptian interior ministry to conclude the sit-ins without shedding innocent blood, and without neglecting the criminals that sullied their hands with Egyptian blood or were involved in inciting their killing.

Egypt has washed away the shame of electing the Brotherhood to power, and is now cleansed from the crimes of the traitors. The door has opened wide for Egypt to receive, with open arms, its children returning from Rabaa and Renaissance squares, or any other place they occupied to support their Egyptian brothers.
