Clinton Clearly the Democratic Front-runner

It seems that Hillary Clinton is on the road to victory for winning the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, although of course this is not a settled issue. There may be something unforeseeable down the road that we can’t yet take into account. I say this on the basis of Clinton’s victory in the debate with her Democratic competitors, as well as the knowledge and professionalism she exhibited before the congressional committee investigating the Benghazi terrorist attack three years ago.

I read that Clinton has pulled ahead of Bernie Sanders in Iowa and South Carolina, and that Sanders has overtaken her in New Hampshire — among Republicans, polls show Donald Trump and Ben Carson almost tied in Iowa.

If we accept CNN’s poll numbers, we see that Clinton is at 51 percent for Democrats, compared to Sanders’ 40 percent. It seems that this does not impress American journalist H.A. Goodman who wrote in an article that Sanders is a threat to Clinton. In another article, he said that Sanders would defeat Trump (in the presidential election), but that Trump would beat Hillary. This from a writer found on the pages of The Jerusalem Post, which supports the terrorist Israeli government.

Clinton swept the floor with her competitors in the Democratic debate held by CNN on Oct. 13. CNN recorded a record number of viewers, 15.3 million — the previous record was 10.7 million.

In the past, I wrote some of the headlines announcing Clinton’s win in the debate. Here I’ve selected some of the headlines following Clinton’s success before the congressional committee investigating the Benghazi terrorist attack, which led to four American deaths, including that of Ambassador Christopher Stevens on Sept. 11, 2012 toward the end of Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state. I read:

• “Clinton Challenged the Republican Investigation into the Benghazi Attack;”

• “Hillary Clinton Uses Mastery of Facts to Deflate Silent Republican Agenda during Grilling over Benghazi Embassy Attack;”

• “Clinton Triumphed by Not Losing Her Cool;”

• “The Unfortunate Republican Investigation into Benghazi Attack;”

• “Benghazi investigation: Why Didn’t You Fire Anyone (GOP Rep. Mike Pompeo Grills Clinton on Benghazi);”

• “Marathon Benghazi Hearing Leaves Hillary Clinton Largely Unscathed;”

• “How Hillary Clinton Won at the Benghazi Hearing;”

• “Clinton Won in the Hearing”*

There are many more such headlines about Clinton’s victory in the debates and the hearing. And maybe her path to victory was easy after Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy, House majority leader, said in a television interview that the investigation succeeded in decreasing Clinton’s popularity among the candidates. The Democrats had claimed that this was the Republicans’ goal for the investigation; McCarthy confirmed that suspicion and Democrats seized on his words and repeated them until they were embedded in people’s minds.

The U.S. presidential election is about a year away. I won’t say today that I know who will win, but I will say that I am relaying the facts sincerely and accurately.
