Rivals attack Trump for hiring illegal Polish workers and he fights back. “Shut up! I’ve hired tens of thousands in my life and you’ve hired nobody,” he says.

Republicans Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz attacked their opponent Donald Trump, the party’s frontrunner in the American presidential elections, about his opinions on immigration in the debate preceding the key primaries for the nomination in 12 states, several agencies reported this Friday.

‘’If he builds the wall (between the United States and Mexico) the way he built Trump Towers, he’ll be using illegal immigrant labor,” said Florida Sen. Rubio in Thursday’s night debate held in Houston, Texas. Rubio reminded viewers that Trump hired illegal Polish workers for the construction of the elite Trump Towers in New York while the core of his campaign is the fight against illegal immigration from Mexico.

Trump cut off this condemnation in mid-sentence. ‘’Shut up. I’ve hired tens of thousands of people in my life, tens of thousands, and you’ve hired nobody,” said Trump, bragging about the employment he provided to thousands of Latin American workers and about his high popularity among their community.

Rubio is trying to win over voters because Trump is still the front-runner in the Republican primaries. The agency DPA comments about Ted Cruz’s assertion that he is the only real conservative in this race, in which Ohio Gov. John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson are also candidates for the Republican Party nomination.*

Rubio and Cruz attacked Trump for not publishing the information about his tax returns, and on Wednesday, the 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney suggested that there is a “bombshell” in Trump’s tax returns.

Trump’s response was that he did not publish the information because he is being audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

In the debate, Trump emphasized his decision to build a wall between Mexico and the U.S. and claimed that he will require Mexico to pay $10 billion to $12 billion for construction.

Earlier this Thursday, former Mexican President Vicente Fox said that Mexico won’t pay a cent. During the debate, Trump responded, “I will, and the wall just got 10 feet taller.”

The Houston debate was the last chance for Trump’s opponents to improve their positions before Super Tuesday on March 1 when the primaries were to take place in 12 states.

For the moment, Trump is far ahead of Cruz and Rubio and is the winning Republican Party candidate so far in the race for the White House.

In the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, the former U.S. secretary of state, is the candidate with the best odds to win her party’s nomination.

*Editor’s note: U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson ended his campaign on March 5.

Rivali napali Trumpa zbog ilegalnih Poljaka, on im uzvratio: Ušutite! Ja sam zaposlio desetke tisuća ljudi u svom životu, a vi niste nikada zaposlili nijednog.
