Perhaps Trump benefited from the anti-Islamic atmosphere in many countries in the world, as he speaks frankly about Muslim extremism. We have seen many such campaigns during the past few weeks between supporters and opponents of this position.
However, Trump and his agitating rhetoric have not taken into account terrorist organizations in Islamic countries, organizations such as the Islamic State and al-Qaida, which have perpetuated more crimes against Muslims than any other people.
The example set by the Islamic State group and al-Qaida insulted many Muslims and led a lot of people to focus their attack on Islam, especially since these two organizations arrived in Europe, as we have seen Belgium being targeted and infiltration in France, Spain and other European nations which are growing accustomed to the rhythm of fear and the blaming of Islam and Muslims.
But why focus on the extremism and abuses of Islam? What reason is there for Islamophobia in Europe, the United States and other countries in the world?
In conjunction with this, we bring up other questions regarding how Western silence breeds these terrorist organizations and promotes them. In addition to America’s lack of seriousness in the fight since the inception of the terrorist groups, many reports refer to America’s complacency and the West’s role in forging a negative view of Islam and Muslims, even though they have been victims of this battle.
Certainly, extremism puts pressure on Muslim children, as terrorist organizations need to expand and wage battles in Syria, Iraq, Libya and other countries where children succumb to radicalization by the Islamic State group and al-Qaida.
The present scenario confirms that while Muslims fight among themselves, Trump achieves his objective of exploiting extremism in Arab countries and promoting it during his election campaign.
