Uranium Conspiracy*

*Editor’s note: On March 4, 2022, Russia enacted a law that criminalizes public opposition to, or independent news reporting about, the war in Ukraine. The law makes it a crime to call the war a “war” rather than a “special military operation” on social media or in a news article or broadcast. The law is understood to penalize any language that “discredits” Russia’s use of its military in Ukraine, calls for sanctions or protests Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It punishes anyone found to spread “false information” about the invasion with up to 15 years in prison.

Vice Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Oleg Karpovich provides insight into subtle strategies for eliminating competitors in the agricultural market.

There is no doubt that the British Ministry of Defense has for a long time planned to begin supplying Kyiv with depleted uranium shells. After all, the Ukrainian conflict is becoming an existential threat to the anti-Russian coalition, which makes the West resort to virtually every means at its disposal. Western powers, which have been generously sponsoring Kyiv's regime for a while, are getting increasingly nervous as they witness one Ukrainian army defeat after another.

Even though it is extremely unethical, it is not a novel idea for the West to use depleted uranium shells. One cannot help but recall how these shells were used when NATO bombed Yugoslavia. A large part of the country was poisoned by radiation for decades to come, if not forever, because Uranium-238 has a half-life of about 4.5 billion years. This crime was committed in the name of liberal values to enforce Western powers' dominance. There is evidence suggesting that the health of many local residents has been critically undermined, while cancer has become widespread throughout the country. There are also reports suggesting that the U.S. used similar shells in other conflicts, including the Iraq War.

What makes the current situation even more volatile is the fact that NATO allies now want to use depleted uranium shells in Ukraine, which Europe has long regarded as its agricultural colony. It has become absolutely clear that neither Volodymyr Zelenskyy's regime nor its Western patrons are intimidated from using any means at their disposal to defeat the enemy, even if this military tactic puts its own people in danger. Kyiv has been purposefully damaging urban infrastructure, destroying roads and bridges, and booby-trapping coastal waters. This tactic has already cost many civilians their lives. There is no doubt that fighting to the last man standing has become Kyiv's main wartime paradigm. It is quite obvious that British depleted-uranium weapons are going to greatly affect the way the conflict is fought.

Today it is no secret that most European countries, as well as some African and Middle Eastern nations, are critically dependent on Ukrainian agricultural produce. One can easily foresee the scale of the food crisis that would break out if a substantial part of Ukrainian agricultural produce were to be exposed to radioactive contamination. Needless to say that Zelenskyy's regime doesn't care about such nuances because it is struggling for survival, fighting by any means necessary. Fearing further oppression, the Ukrainian public is also unlikely to fully understand the real danger of depleted-uranium weapons.

However, it is much more surprising that European grain importers remain silent at the moment. The lack of response to the potentially dangerous London-Kyiv initiative makes one wonder if this is part of a larger agenda that has been masterminded by Washington. It is worth mentioning that Joe Biden stated a year ago that U.S. agricultural producers were ready to replace Ukrainian grain on the global food market with their own produce.

The U.N.-backed Black Sea Grain Initiative completely ruined Washington's plan back then. Wouldn't the U.S. now want to resolve the issue in a radical way to take potential Ukrainian competitors out of the game? Especially if the current Kyiv regime falls. This scenario is most likely to be implemented by the British. "It seems that the West really decided to fight with Russia to the last Ukrainian — no longer in words, but in deeds. But in this regard, I would like to note that if all this happens, then Russia will have to respond accordingly," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

It is becoming increasingly evident that Washington and its allies are trying to strengthen their geopolitical positions during this crisis. In this context, Ukraine is nothing more than a testing ground, where NATO generals can try out the world's newest military weapons and tactics. This tragedy can only be stopped by the step-by-step implementation of all the objectives of the Russian special military operation, which will allow the Ukrainians to gradually return to their normal lives, so that the country which has been suffering from foreign control for years will once again be peaceful and safe.
