News from the Matrix, or How the United States Is Planning To Invade Crimea

Kremlin expert Sergei Markov prophesies a bloody Ukrainian-American invasion of the Crimea.

The South Korean news agency Yonhap reported some time ago that the commercial exchanges between Russia and North Korea have increased by over one-third. I’m beginning to suspect that much of this growth is the export of propaganda. It is hard to find a different explanation for what the Russian media along with the Russian experts are sending out into the world via every possible channel.

There are plenty of examples, and today we have another. Well-known Sergei Markov, a former member of the Duma from Putin’s party, professor at a prestigious university in Moscow (The Moscow State Institute of International Relations) and one of the presidential advisers, has just posted the following message on Facebook:

“Ukraine. The military party in Washington is preparing Kiev for war with Russia over Crimea. A half a million-strong army will be assembled, with the objective of maximizing the losses both for the Crimeans and the Russian soldiers, as well as for the Ukrainians themselves. A bloody machine with the objective of a coup d’état in Russia — that is the plan.”

As for an empire, Russia has far too many crazies in its elites. I just do not know whether to laugh, be afraid or pity it.
