CNN and Obama: A Way Paved With Promises and Fiction
As the experienced say, usually after the elections the winner corrects his promises. Thanks to those made by Barack Obama and thanks to the popularity supported but also created by the media Obama is keeping “colossal” lead of 5 percent before his adversary.
Those monstrous promises are a good reason for the Americans to leave them as well as the remarkableness of the first colored candidate for U.S. president as a history.
McCain with his realistic program and approach to the biggest problems stays with his feet on ground.
That’s why his popularity and stays behind the “catastrophic” 5 percent. If he was leading by 5 percent, would we be saying about McCain – mania in the media? Surely not, instead we’d be saying about a disaster. But with confidence about Obama – mania if the Democratic candidate leads by 15 percent. If he was leading by 15 percent how would the media call it?
Maybe thatÂ’s why itÂ’s better to pay attention to the influence of the media.
Today, I watched a WORLD REPORT and AFRICA INSIDE programs on CNN. Guess, what name was heard the most there? Interviews with “randomly” selected respondents created a picture of people’s approach to the U.S. presidential elections in Europe and Africa. Do you think that they spoke about both candidates? No. If Obama is ‘pushed’ by the media in Europe as well as in Africa, however, here but also there, are those who like McCain. Do you think that they had a chance to express that? No.
Do you think that if the Slovak television did similar reports in near countries for example in the countries of V4 (Visegrad Group) where it would openly favor one candidate in our presidential elections, letÂ’s say the one you donÂ’t prefer but he would be better for foreign countries would you like that? I know, not. And me neither.
I think that Obamamania is a intentional marketing phenomena which is intended to provoke emotional expectations of brilliant change. And also massive bombarding American voters by expectations of “world public opinion” shall help to swamp Bush.
McCain is not Bush, America is not Europe, and CNN is not omnipotent. I hope that Europe will never be a part of the United States and that CNN will never be omnipotent. ThatÂ’s why I hope that the Americans will vote for an American president.
