Mohammad Karami Zad, an Iranian parliament member from Kermanshah, commented on the threats made by American military officials on taking military actions against Iran: The overall military strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a defense-based strategy and we will respond to such threats immediately.

The member of the national security and foreign policy commission of the Iranian parliament said: Considering our high defense capability and our ability to export arms to other Islamic countries, our enemies will suffer the most in the case of a military conflict.

He also commented on President Obama’s policy of change: Unfortunately, the intentions of the American government have not changed and this shows that there are influential groups in Washington. Any Democratic or Republican government will be influenced by their powerful lobby.

Karami Rad added: Obama made a lot of promises to withdraw American troops from the region and to bring peace and security, but as we witness today, the number of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan has increased.

He also added that, considering that America is supporting the murderous Zionist regime, the honesty of America’s diplomatic actions is also in question.

He stressed that American diplomats understand that launching a military strike on Iran will be difficult and they will not have a single day of peace in the region.
