WikiLeaks … Complete Credibility
The shock created by WikiLeaks’ publishing of hundreds of thousands of documents related to the American invasion and occupation of Iraq is still reverberating.
This shock continues to arouse questions, anger and fear surrounding the information’s credibility. The number of casualties revealed in these documents is double those of the official American count and also addresses the daily realities of the American occupation in Iraq. However, these documents do not consider Israel’s role, despite the fact that only America has a larger presence in the country. This fact is a significant source of uncertainty and questions. Why did the publication of WikiLeaks’ documents, which are in the hundreds of thousands, not include any document that discusses Israel’s role in the Iraq war?
If the information regarding civilian casualties caused by the American invasion in Iraq from the past seven years coincides with reality and other accounts, which would have increased Wikileaks’ credibility, transparency and neutrality, why then did these documents turn a blind eye to the size of Israel’s destructive role in Iraq? In all of these documents there is not even one mention, despite numerous accounts — many of them eyewitness accounts from intellectuals, university teachers and specialists — detailing the crimes committed against the Iraqi people by the murderous machinations of the Mossad and its agents.
Thus, if the leaders of WikiLeaks wanted to gain complete credibility and have the world believe in their claims of transparency, neutrality and honesty, they must publish all documents in their possession regarding the role Israel undoubtedly plays. If not, they will remain a target of questioning, doubt and suspicion, no matter what they may have revealed.
