But Where Are Obama’s Transcripts?

Now that Barack Obama has released his birth certificate, we are missing his school records. Donald Trump, hero of the day for having finally obtained the release of the president’s vital records has, of course, already thrown himself into the new controversy.

"The word is, he wasn't a good student," began the billionaire Wednesday morning on CNN, even managing to appear live a few minutes before Obama commented on his birth certificate. "How does he get into Harvard, how does he get into Columbia? I don't know why he doesn't release his records.”

This outburst from Trump should be sufficient to respond to the question being asked on all American televisions today: Will the publication of this birth certificate be enough to end the controversy? Will it satisfy the "birthers,” who find Barack Obama much too "foreign" to the "American spirit" to have been born in the United States and, especially, to occupy the White House?

Besides, nothing is easier for the CIA than to forge a birth certificate, recalls political scientist Larry J. Sabato, who has a new conspiracy theory: Wasn’t Leon Panetta, the current boss of the CIA, promoted just today? (The White House also announced this morning that Panetta will replace Robert Gates at Defense, which is but a minor detail in this huge birth certificate issue).

As for our own conspiracy theory, here it is: Barack Obama’s dream opponent in the upcoming 2012 presidential election is none other than this Mickey with the artistically rebellious bangs — Donald Trump. If it can still make Trump rise in the polls and destabilize the Republican Party a little more, Barack Obama will undoubtedly be more than happy to provide him with his academic records, too.
