The World Welcomes bin Laden's Death
The world welcomed the news of the death of Osama bin Laden, the head of the al-Qaida organization on Monday. This is considered to be a major blow for terrorism networks worldwide.
The prime minister of Pakistan said clearly that “American forces executed this operation in accordance with stated American policy which demanded that American forces kill Osama bin Laden in a direct operation in whatever place in the world they found him.”
Similarly, British Prime Minister David Cameron said that the death of Osama bin Laden was a source of great joy to the people of the world.
The French foreign minister announced his reaction to the death of bin Laden in Pakistan as a victory for democracies in their fight against terrorism, and that he considers the death of bin Laden good for all of the Muslim faith and all those that contemplate peace in the world.
The Indian internal minister said, “We take note with grave concern that part of the statement in which (U.S.) President (Barack) Obama said that the firefight in which Osama bin Laden was killed took place in Abbottabad in Pakistan.”
In Rome, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said bluntly about the death of bin Laden: “It was victory of good over evil, of justice against wickedness, of the free and democratic world.”
Israel expressed its satisfaction for the liquidation of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, saying that his death was a great achievement for the free world.
