Migrants to the UN
The climate for dealing with the migration issue is not the best in Washington right now, considering the proximity to the midterm election and the way it affects the political agenda. The Hispanic community has congregated around several organizations that have been, along with institutions such as the California assembly, exerting pressure; however, it's clear that the reform is in a quagmire. The objective is to freeze deportations, which have reached their highest point during the Obama administration.
The summit, which was held in Washington back when the number of migrant children surpassed predictions and flooded the available resources, will have a second chapter following the presentation on the great stage of the United Nations on the occasion of its General Assembly, in which the participation of the Honduran president was announced.
