In American cities, radical actions at protests, which are increasingly becoming protests by armed people, continue.
Over the weekend, severe clashes occurred once more between protesters and federal forces in Portland, and Seattle, but there were also intense confrontations in Los Angeles, New York City, and Oakland. Disorder is beginning to spread in Texas, where a protester was killed on Sunday, July 26.
In general, they were protesting Donald Trump’s decision to involve federal law enforcement in suppressing riots. In Louisville, Kentucky, a demonstration of 2,500 Black people marched wearing hoods and carrying rifles.
“We’re not here to cause chaos. There have been rumors we’re coming to hunt people down. Again, we are simply exercising our constitutional rights to assemble and bear arms,” John Fitzgerald Johnson, the founder of the Not F**king Around Coalition, said in an interview with WBRC, a news station based in Birmingham, Alabama.
In this same city, but on a different street, another demonstration, this one composed of armed white people, marched in support of Trump’s decision. They also did not violate any law, since the Second Amendment of the Constitution provides, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Historically, it has been assumed that it is necessary to limit the reach of federal authority.
Radical protests in Portland are becoming increasingly brutal. Antifa activists set fire to the police union building and tried to do the same with the federal court throughout the week, though without success.* According to reports from Fox News, extremists are still picketing a building in which federal agents had settled.
The president of the United States also deployed federal power in Oregon against the will of local authorities. It appears that such operations will be dispatched next to Chicago, New York City, Baltimore, Detroit and Philadelphia.
In Seattle, radical leftists protested the elimination of the “communist” Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. In Los Angeles, demonstrators also tried to infiltrate a federal court (the tendency of such protests, it seems), but authorities blocked this. The Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted in defense of Portland, protesting the appearance of federal law enforcement there.
In Richmond, Virginia, police used tear gas against a Black Lives Matter march.
Unfortunately, people are calling this the collapse of the country, because citizens are beginning to divide aggressively over “us versus them” as well as “us versus the government.” Of course, this is mostly just politics, as the general election is still to come on Nov. 3. The Democrats want to push Trump out because they do not want him to serve a second term. However, it seems that Trump will still be reelected, and the “silent” white majority in America will have its say.
Now, possibly, the process of separation of liberal and conservative states will begin. In place of the current United States, two administrations will emerge, one that governs states with a prevalence of both moderate and extreme leftists as well as globalists in power structures, combined with leadership that is tolerant, promotes liberal ideology and a meaningful role for Black people in government. The U.S. will need trillions of dollars for this divide, but it will not be simple to raise such funds.
In the other administration, the one with Trump in charge, conservatives, right-wing Republicans, white nationalists and African Americans in secondary roles will prevail, along with the ideology of old American statehood.
Why is it unfortunate that America is falling apart? Because the world will face the danger of transferring American disputes in the form of war to other continents, regions and countries.
