I have noticed on social media sites, especially Twitter, that many users — in particular the sheep of Najd and the Arabian Peninsula — have taken up the support of their shepherd, Donald Trump, while others are backing the Democratic leader, Joe Biden. It is unbelievably shocking that Arabs are so up in arms as to divide themselves into “Bidenists” and “Trumpers.” Each side writes anything and everything against the other, which reveals how ignorant and naïve the Arab community is. This pathetic situation is a natural result of the control that reactionist Arab countries have over the faculties of the Arab community and a result of the fall of nationalist, Nasserist organizations. These elections are foreign elections. The cows of the Gulf will remain fat, and they are now concerned about how to deal with the victor who will milk them.

The Bedouins of Najd are agitated because Trump will eliminate the Shia, so they support him. These gullible people have forgotten that Trump is concerned with what is good for his own people — it is not in his interest to eliminate either the Shia or the Sunni, nor is that in Biden’s interest. He works to increase the wealth of the American people even if 1,000 plagues should afflict Arabs and Muslims. In the end, Trump and Biden are both Americans who work in their own country’s interest. Arabs are trying to cement their presence in today’s world and in international politics, even though their own condition is pitiful! They debate on the sidewalk while the rest of the world rides the train of advancement, science and technology.

Whether Trump or Biden has won is insignificant; we will still be the least of their concerns. If we do not pay attention to ourselves as a people with a civilization and a message, then no one will.
