America’s Cunning and Asia’s Shortsightedness
The United States national security strategy has one persistent quality — consistency. It will not change based on the stepping down and stepping up of new presidents. This is caused by America’s enduring power and the lack of any threats of war. During World War II, the United States became the most powerful between the earth’s two poles and ultimately prevailed in causing the disintegration of the former Soviet Union, successfully becoming the world’s only hegemon.
Americans are a little more clever than other people. That is because Americans steer their own country away from turmoil and conflagration; especially from countries that pose a threat or are close to [posing one], or in turmoil or war. Whether it’s an economic war, or instigating armed conflict, all Americans follow this principle. In the past, the U.S. waged economic war (sometimes externally known as an arms race) to pressure the former Soviet Union into collapse, to slow the development of Japan, and to strangle the four Asian Tigers (Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong). In the past, the United States’ quiet incitement or direct incitement of regional warfare have never taken place on American soil; such as the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Middle East wars, the Iran-Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, the Iraq War, the Kosovo war.
Now, there are only three things that could threaten the United States’ hegemonic status: a unified Europe, the revival of Russia’s glory and the emergence of China, symbolizing the rise of Asia. Therefore, the collapse of Europe, the isolation of Russia, and the containment of China by driving a wedge within Asia are the three tasks of U.S. foreign and national strategy. Among them, the collapse and control of Europe and the isolation of Russia have already essentially taken place. The main task now is to drive a wedge within Asia in order to contain China, by willing Asia into turmoil and war!
A peaceful and prosperous Asia is definitely not what the Americans want to see. Please go back six decades into Asia’s history; what benefit has America brought to Asia??

What's next? Whatever they can think of!
In a state of war and turmoil, Asia’s pace of development will stagnate, which is in line with U.S. strategic interests. The key to confusing Asia is to confuse China. Asian leaders, including veteran Lee Kuan Yew and including Taiwan politicians, can you see this clearly now?
Under the control of the United States, Asia is currently plunged in chaos; from encouraging the development of nuclear weapons in India, to promising Japan and India a “permanent” status at the U.N. Security Council; from the Tiananmen events to the Diaoyu Islands, and even in the issue of the South China Sea with Southeast Asia; from North Korea’s recent bombing incident, to the U.S.-South Korea and U.S.-Japan military exercises. America’s plot is all too clear!
Japan has ambitious visions which are not reflected in its politicians, and therefore it has been manipulated by the United States. The United State’s focus on the Diaoyu Islands is purely greed-based. On the Diaoyu Islands issue, between the Chinese and the Japanese, the United States has buried a ticking time-bomb. The purpose is to get Japan to start a war so that both China and Japan will suffer, and thus both lose the momentum of development.
India’s ambition is in its rapid expansion. The United States views India’s growth as impetuous, yet they help India fully meet their aspirations of expansionism in terms of armaments, and the U.S. spares no expense to support the development of nuclear weapons in India. There is only one reason behind this: for India and China to go to war! India has not yet failed to live up to the expectations of the United States; India's politicians and generals all say that “a war to defeat China” is the highest of ideals!
The United States has become Southeast Asia's real “boss,” pulling the strings on stage from behind the curtain, by bolstering and pepping up every Southeast Asian country, faced with the challenge of China in the South China Sea.
South Korea has replaced Taiwan as one of America’s stage props in East Asia, and Taiwan has already lost its role as a prop in the play. Watch Lee Myung Bak and the triumphant and arrogant looks of his generals, they think they have the United States dancing like a monkey, but it is really the other way around.
So far, the United States has been declared, “We are ready; all we need is an east wind" (an idiom meaning ‘lacking only one crucial thing’). The U.S. has accurately predicted that China has reached its last straw, and will lose all reason and have a big outbreak. Now it’s just a waiting game...
Now I am done talking about smart Americans for now, let me talk about Asia's short-sightedness. Asian political leaders have had their views on important matters obscured by trivial things. The fundamental interests of Japan are to maintain prosperity and development, and strive to recover their occupied territories. The fundamental interests of India are national strength and prosperity. China's fundamental interests are not only national strength and prosperity, but also national unity. The fundamental interests of the Korean Peninsula are prosperity and development, as well as national reunification. The fundamental interests of all other countries are also national strength and prosperity. The prerequisite for all of these interests is to have peace, stability and development in Asia!
If Asian countries are not good neighbors, they cannot help to take care of one another's core interests; each country regards its neighbors as enemies, always ready to fight and defeat each other's illusions. In this way, if Asia’s peaceful ‘skin’ cannot be preserved, then where can Asian countries plant the ‘hair’ that they develop? (Based on the idiom; ‘With the skin gone, to what can the hair attach itself?’) Under such circumstances, Asian countries have only one common outcome: turmoil, recession or destruction!
