The election of President Obama was a miracle of historic proportions.

Before President Obama was elected, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, headed by the United States, lost more than they gained, and citizens openly voiced their discontent. America’s subprime lending crisis, which triggered the banking crisis that brought disaster worldwide, inflicted serious damage to the U.S. economy, lowering its citizens’ standard of living. Domestically, the economy was stagnant, and most people’s standards of living fell; internationally, America’s prestige and influence declined. Americans hoped that a savior would appear, and Democratic candidate Obama was the savior that they were waiting for. Americans hoped that he would lead the United States out of the economic valley, free it from its diplomatic troubles and raise their living standards.

Obama is the first African-American president in U.S. history and has unique experiences. His grassroots background, populist ideology and political position have made him a representative of the poor, African-Americans and other minorities, as well as a supporter of most of the middle class. Through his campaign theme of “Change,” Obama emphasized his opposition to the Bush administration’s policy of tax cuts for the well-off who earn more than $250,000 a year and his support of hastening renegotiations for the North American Free Trade Organization and strengthening the clauses concerning labor and the environment. He supported reaching a free trade agreement with Peru, opposed the Iraq War and promised that if he were to be elected president, he would withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq within 16 months of his coming into office. He supported continuing the current health insurance system that relies on employer subsidies, the federal government carrying out the plan for universal child health care and establishing a national health insurance program. He promised to unify the party, re-establish alliances abroad and recover America’s position as a global leader. Obama has populist characteristics. The most representative of Obama’s populist political view are his own words: “The true desire of all mankind is not only to live free lives, but lives marked by dignity and opportunity; by security and simple justice.”

No one doubts his wishes for America and Americans. He has received particular praise from people all over the world for his advocacy of eliminating nuclear weapons, and because he has realized his plans, this will be a plan that convinces mankind of its benefits. Therefore, Sweden’s Nobel Committee awarded him that year’s peace prize to encourage him to continue to make contributions to mankind. However, his actions have not only disappointed the American people, but have disappointed people from all over the world.

In September 2010, the Obama administration, which advocated “a world without nuclear weapons,” announced that it conducted a “subcritical nuclear test.” This caused uproar around the world, since no one dared to believe that Obama, who had vowed to eliminate nuclear weapons from the beginning, would change his outlook faster than the weather. Japan, who once had a taste of U.S. nuclear weapons, was even more worried and sick at heart. The Japanese media said the fact that the Obama administration, which has continuously advocated “a world without nuclear weapons,” would do such a thing is to remove the concern of internal conservative forces reducing America’s military forces.

This year, Obama’s direction of the American government has become even more unexpected. Obama as an anti-war figure created much goodwill with the people, and his anti-war beliefs made a heroic contribution to his presidential campaign. Now, President Obama’s plans to withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan have come to a screeching halt. He has long since flushed his anti-war ideology, quietly picking up the big stick of military force. Anyone with an opinion of his own can tell that the bombing of Libya by the Obama administration and its Western allies and friends oversteps the bounds of the United Nations’ jurisdiction and toys with the vague concept of perpetrating fraud. Anyone can tell that their actions are to preserve their own oil resources and extent of influence.

The American media is also disappointed and unsatisfied with Obama. They say that the president’s macro plans, regardless of whether they’re domestic or international, stray far from the right track. He banned the use of torture against suspects of terrorism, yet he pledges that to shut down Guantanamo Bay; he says he will end the Iraq War, yet the American military’s military operations are unfinished; he has made a great effort toward promoting Palestinian-Israeli peace, yet the results are minimal; he says that he wants a world without nuclear weapons, but implementation heads in the opposite direction; he says that fighting against climate change will be America’s top priority, but the U.S. finds it difficult to be a leading force in the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference. And Obama’s international prestige? Just a week ago, his efforts to promote Chicago as the 2016 Olympic host were rejected.

Reality has proven that Obama is just like past presidents of the United States: an aggressive aggressor, a president who will sacrifice other countries for the interests of the United States. Obama is no longer the Obama who campaigned for president; he has become an executioner of war and a monument of disgrace to the Nobel Peace Prize.

Why does Obama trample on his own promises and slap himself in the face? The problem lies in the American system of government. America is a greedy robber, a dirty pirate ship. Once you get on the ship, you must give your all and work for them to the end. If not, you will be tossed out to sea.

Obama, as a descendant of black Africans, knows full well the inhuman treatment his ancestors endured and is unlikely to not consider changing the bitter fate of his black African brethren. He wants to fulfill his campaign promises and understands full well the implications of the Nobel Peace Prize. However, he has failed. He accepted the Nobel Peace Prize, yet his actions disrupt peace and are shady and “murderous.” He wants a world free of nuclear weapons, yet carried out a “subcritical nuclear test.” Who prompted him to do these things? The American people. Because Americans have too many enemies, they have no choice but to develop advanced weapons to threaten and put pressure on its challengers. Obama is against war and wants to give the world some peace, and yet, against his will, he heartlessly attacked his Libyan brothers. Why was he so disloyal? The answer is self-evident: He needs to protect American interests in Libya. If he doesn’t do this, he will be pulled down from the throne of the presidency.

Therefore, forgive Obama! He unknowingly stepped into a pirate ship and acts not of his own volition.
