Shame on Arabs for Response to Israel

They Can Do It With Israel

Till when shall the Arabs be haunted by American hegemony, refrain from adopting a firm and brave stand against Israel and stop their passive condemnation and disapproval? When will they stop having different opinions and making different decisions, and be widely regarded as “empty but noisy vessels”?

A quick look at the current situation says that the Arab world could have done much, with a stout economy and petroleum, which could be weapons in standing up decisively to Israel and those who stand behind it. Israel that defies international resolutions, considers the Security Council an absent entity while there is no such a thing called the Arab League. As long as the ranks are disunited, Israel will not stop saying “No”.

Presently, Gaza is under the yoke of a barbaric war, and it does not suffice to supply it with food and medical supplies. Weapons and fighters are also needed so that balance can be gained and to repel the aggression against a harmless people in the face of heavy shelling where thousands fall wounded or killed, to lie in the streets among the debris. And if only this initiative is adopted by Arab states of the Arab League, neither the US nor anyone else, including Israel, would refute it. That is because America itself are aggressors with weapons and so we cannot be found at fault.

But now, I can say it with my mouth wide open: ”SHAME”!! Shame on the Arab nation that solely pursues wealth and glory, oblivious of an enemy that is violating a dear sister, Palestine. Shame on Arab leaders who are only concerned about their chairs and lay all the blame on Egypt, a land watered by the blood of roughly 100.000 Egyptian martyrs, all of whom sacrificed themselves for the Palestinian cause in all the wars Egypt fought against Israel – not only to free the lands Israel usurped in 1967 but also to defend all and every inch against Israel’s trespass in 1948.

Again, Egypt, after the great war of October 6th, 1973 and the peace agreement it signed, led a procession of peace in defense of the Palestinians’ legitimate rights. And how many meetings, discussions and conferences in which the Palestinian issue topped the agenda!

However, I do not find a clear reason for accusing Egypt of languor and feebleness while Israel is showing its muscles against a poor people. Are we required to open a front with Israel and to hell goes all peace agreements? Indeed, time comes for all the Arabs to move and take a stand. And here Syria can be a living example.

Syria, with respect to Al Golan, still invaded by Israel, has all the right to help relieve the Palestinians’ suffering by furnishing them with weapons or weapons or opening a front in Al Golan. In addition to this, the Syrian army, an important military power, can do something, especially after its withdrawal from Lebanon, the collapse of the global economy and above all America’s disgrace before the world following its defeat in Iraq and the angry voices there.

Here, I need to address Mr. Hassan Nasr Allah, the leader of Lebanese Hezbollah who, most likely, forgot all about the enormous capabilities of the Syrian army to face or even clash justifiably with the invader of Al Golan.

Also, I hope that Mr. Khalid Mashaa (a senior Hamas official) will consider this and will not be blamed if he asked Syria and Sheikh Nasr Allah to open the fronts of Al Golan and South Lebanon before volunteer fighters join the battle, as I believe fighting on those two fronts is a legitimate right that Nasr Allah forgot to raise.

These are just suggestions and thoughts: I felt like penning and expressing them to those who have nothing to do except lay a heavy burden of blame on our shoulders and to the Egyptians who wish to fight Israel.

The long and short of it, in circumstances such as these, everyone gropes for true deeds instead of hollow addresses.
