The Biggest Spy Scandal in History

There also was a sexy seductress agent, probably from the CIA.

According to the Democratic Party’s elite, the United States is in a serious constitutional crisis. However, according to the Republicans, this is the biggest spy scandal in the history of humanity. At the center of the scandal is an attempt by the FBI and possibly the CIA to undermine Donald Trump and then to overthrow him – possibly at the direction of former President Barack Obama.

In this attempted coup, agents of the British, Australian and possibly the Maltese intelligence agencies also take part. There are even suspicions that the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter with Novichok was actually an attempt to hide the British intelligence service’s connection with the conspiracy against Trump. One of the branches of the scandal is connected to the dispute over which of our neighboring countries the gas pipeline from Israel should pass through, Turkey or Greece. The other branch is connected with Ukraine and the corrupt ties between Ukrainian oligarchs and former Vice President Joe Biden’s son.

The two American parties have entangled themselves in a life-or-death battle, and literally every day new facts emerge about malpractice by the intelligence agencies and the powerful “deep state.” The truth turns out to be much more intriguing than the conspiracy theories. It is well known that in March, Special Counsel Robert Mueller finished his investigation and submitted his report to the U.S. Attorney General William Barr. On April 18, Barr released the entire report in redacted form.

The report consists of two parts. The first part comes to the conclusion that neither President Trump nor any other American colluded with Russia in its attempts to influence the 2016 elections. The second part concerns Trump’s attempts to obstruct justice, that is, attempts to hamper the investigation seeking guilt that doesn’t exist. The report doesn’t bring charges against Trump, but it also doesn’t exonerate him. As you know, this year the Democrats hold the majority in the House of Representatives. Now they plan to continue the investigation via the House Judiciary Committee, and perhaps, if they gather enough evidence, to begin impeachment proceedings against the president.

This does not mean removing the president, but bringing formal impeachment charges. The Senate votes to impeach the president with a two-thirds vote. This is virtually impossible unless the investigation uncovers some previously unknown and extremely disturbing facts about Trump. In 1998-1999, President Bill Clinton was impeached in the House and then acquitted in the Senate, which only increased his popularity. That’s why the Democrats are in no hurry to impeach the president. They are planning to continue Mueller’s investigation, uncover new dirt and ultimately win the next elections.

The de facto investigation against Trump began secretly in the spring of 2016, and Mueller’s team formally began its investigation a year later. The investigation’s result now will determine the 2020 elections. But even after 2020, the inquiry will hardly stop. So many political figures have been involved on both sides there will be consequences for many important players until 2022 and possibly 2024.

Of course, the Republicans are counterattacking. Recently confirmed Attorney General Barr has already launched an investigation of the investigation, which will most likely end with charges against all of the former FBI administration officials, and possibly against Hillary Clinton. It would not be surprising if this whole thing reaches all the way to Obama.

The House Judiciary Committee has already cited Barr for “contempt of Congress” and is about to begin impeachment proceedings against him, because Barr refused to provide the full and unredacted version of Mueller’s report. On the other hand, he is not required by law to provide any part of the report at all. Litigation of these issues will probably reach the Supreme Court, where the Republicans have a majority.*

In addition, the House Committee asked Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to provide Trump’s tax returns for the past six years. At the moment, the White House refuses to turn them over under the pretext that Trump’s tax returns are being audited by the IRS. This matter will probably also go through the courts. Meanwhile, The New York Times published Trump’s tax returns from the 1990s, and apparently his business operated at a loss almost from the beginning, and Trump did not pay any taxes. This news was sensationally blown out of proportion, with people asking, “Do you see what a failure this great businessman is?”

But the older generation will remember that in the 1990s, Trump filed for bankruptcy and then managed to rebuild his business. The details are known all over the world, as Trump himself described them in the bestseller, “The Art of the Comeback.” The New York Times only repeats the same old story. Barr’s counterattack will unravel exactly how the FBI obtained permission to investigate Trump’s presidential campaign on the grounds of a fake dossier created by the retired British agent Christopher Steele. This narrative began when Clinton’s entourage requested that Fusion GPS, a company famous for conducting opposition research, dig up dirt related to Trump. Fusion outsourced the task to Steele and his company, Orbis Business Intelligence, which provides global investigation services.

Until 2009, Steele worked for the British intelligence service MI6 and was responsible for Russia. After going into the private sector, he produced hundreds of reports on the subject of Russia and Ukraine within a short period. It is estimated that over nine years, the company earned more than $20 million. Among Steele’s highly valued investigations was Project Charlemagne, which concerned the hybrid warfare that Russia was waging against Europe. The conclusion was that Russia has set itself the goal of destroying the European Union through false propaganda. Project Charlemagne is the basis of all the theories concerning the reach of Russian power and Russian puppets in our country.

As soon as the Trump investigation report emerged, it was immediately clear that it was too far-fetched. There are too many inconsistencies to take the report seriously. What is more serious, however, is that at one point Steele worked for and received a salary from the FBI and had close ties with senior State Department officials. The battle currently underway is about publishing the documents on which the FBI relied to obtain permission from a specialized court to spy on Trump’s campaign. The alternative version of this story is that the investigation occurred because a young adviser to the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos, blabbed in a London pub that Russia had Clinton’s emails and would soon publish them. His interlocutor, a prominent agent from the Australian intellligence services, immediately notified the CIA, which then notified the FBI, and so the FBI obtained a warrant to investigate.

Most recently, Papadopoulos published his book “Deep State Target: How I Got Caught in the Crosshairs of the Plot to Bring Down President Trump.” The book is an amazing narrative about how a young associate was entrapped by the secret services in London, Rome, the U.S. and Athens. Russian involvement has been linked to a certain professor, Joseph Mifsud, who, according to Mueller’s report, is a Russian spy, and who according to Papadopoulos is working for the U.S. intelligence services. The story includes half a dozen professors, agents, sexy seductresses, gas pipelines, statesmen, prison and finally, love.

*Editor’s note: The Supreme Court is technically nonpartisan, although justices with mainly conservative views are in the majority.
