The longer the debate about Biden’s candidacy for reelection continues, the greater Trump’s chances of returning to the White House.
U.S. President Joe Biden did not succeed in using an appearance at the NATO summit to convince his critics that he is fit enough to serve four more years in office. His last appearance may have been better than many expected, but it did not silence the demands of many in his party that he needs to step aside to prevent his challenger, Donald Trump, from winning.
Debate before 2024 Election: Biden’s Health Is Central Issue since TV Debate
If the Democrats don’t soon find a way to end the debate over Biden, they will squander their chance to prevent the destroyer Trump from being reelected as president. Since the televised debate with his challenger about two weeks ago, which was a catastrophe for Biden, it’s been all about Biden’s fitness, not about political issues or showing that Trump isn’t fit to lead the United States.
The Democrats need to quickly convince Biden to step aside in order to build up another candidate in the few weeks remaining before the election on Nov. 5.* Or they need to accept that Biden is pushing forward and restore the trust that has been lost in their favored candidate.
*Editor’s Note: President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
