How Trump Will Use Terror Attacks in the US to His Advantage*

*Editor’s note: On March 4, 2022, Russia enacted a law that criminalizes public opposition to, or independent news reporting about, the war in Ukraine. The law makes it a crime to call the war a “war” rather than a “special military operation” on social media or in a news article or broadcast. The law is understood to penalize any language that “discredits” Russia’s use of its military in Ukraine, calls for sanctions or protests Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It punishes anyone found to spread “false information” about the invasion with up to 15 years in prison.

Political scientist Malek Dudakov says Biden’s policies will lead to more terror attacks in the U.S.

Malek Dudakov, a political scientist and Americanist, argues that the alleged acts of terrorism in New Orleans and Las Vegas will give President-elect Donald Trump the opportunity for a major shake-up in the U.S. intelligence community. Dudakov told NEWS.ru that one of the reasons these attacks were possible in the first place is the influx of illegal immigrants into the U.S., some of whom American intelligence has identified as terrorists.

“U.S. intelligence agencies failed to prevent these attacks. I believe Trump will likely use them to carry out a major shakeup within the U.S. intelligence community and push for the deportation of dangerous illegal immigrants who may commit acts of terrorism in the future. This is particularly concerning, as hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals on U.S. terrorist watchlists have crossed the southern border,” Dudakov said.

He noted that Joe Biden’s administration has allowed dangerous immigrants to remain in the U.S. and has not deported them. Thus, Dudakov doesn’t rule out future terrorism in the U.S.

“It all adds up, leading to a new wave of terrorism. We can’t rule out that this is just the beginning. The United States faces a growing terrorism problem that will likely worsen over time. This is due to the large number of dangerous illegal immigrants who have entered the country. U.S. intelligence agencies are also likely to sabotage Trump’s policies,” Dudakov said.

The political scientist stressed that the FBI has rated the terrorist threat level in the U.S. as the highest since the 9/11 attacks. He warned that the White House will face even greater challenges if terrorists start using drones.

A Tesla Cybertruck recently exploded and caught fire in front of the Trump Tower in Las Vegas. The explosion occurred near the Trump International Hotel. The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A pickup truck driver also plowed into a crowd at high speed in New Orleans, Louisiana, on New Year’s Day. The man then left the vehicle and opened fire. The incident occurred on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter and has been classified as a terrorist attack. The death toll has risen to 15.
