Elon Musk Gets High Praise*

*Editor’s note: On March 4, 2022, Russia enacted a law that criminalizes public opposition to, or independent news reporting about, the war in Ukraine. The law makes it a crime to call the war a “war” rather than a “special military operation” on social media or in a news article or broadcast. The law is understood to penalize any language that “discredits” Russia’s use of its military in Ukraine, calls for sanctions or protests Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It punishes anyone found to spread “false information” about the invasion with up to 15 years in prison.

During his speech at the Eastern Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin gave high praise to the work of Elon Musk. The Russian president noted how extremely successful the Tesla founder had been in private business — and the entire world would agree. Meanwhile, the media published new details of the billionaire’s life; that he passed out after several shots of vodka during a visit to Moscow Kommersant’s political analyst Dmitry Drize believes that Moscow wants Musk on their side.

Elon Reeve Musk received high praise for his work, and this time, straight from the Russian president. It’s hard to remember if any of his Russian colleagues could make the same claim. Vladimir Putin described the Tesla founder as exceptional, an active and talented businessman who is achieving much with support from the U.S. government.

The remarks sound a bit strange. But here it would be good to pay attention. For the first time in a long time the top official of our country is praising a partnership between government and private enterprise in the U.S. Moreover, we’re following their example. Roskosmos, for instance, has decided to court private investors.

At the same time, different online resources continue to publish excerpts from Musk’s biography by the well-known journalist and writer, Walter Isaacson. And now we are seeing additional revelations from Business Insider about how the billionaire passed out at the table after several shots of vodka during a visit to Moscow during the early 2000s. It all happened at a restaurant where Russian partners took Musk to discuss a deal and to introduce him to Russian flavor, so to speak. Musk wanted to buy rockets but the deal fell through when the parties disagreed on the price.

Isaacson previously reported that the billionaire disrupted an Ukrainian attack on Crimea by switching off his Starlink system. And in a new collection of revelation from the great Musk, he believes Joe Biden is incredibly boring and views Donald Trump as a con artist.

Musk himself wrote in his former Twitter account that the true president of the U.S. is the person who controls Biden’s teleprompter. So it seems that the billionaire is quite sympathetic toward Russia. I believe he even spoke with and understood Putin, and even suggested a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.

In any case, let’s stop beating around the bush. Can you imagine what a coup it would be to lure Musk to our side? That would be a triumph, all right! Let’s propose that he take over Roskosmos; or even better, let him take a leadership position in his America and become a progressive thought leader. That would help those stray Americans who can’t see past their own noses to finally see the light. The West will finally understand Russa and realize the depravity of their current position.

The Kremlin has apparently made some progress in this arena. They don’t have real friends over there in America, so they’re reaching out to us, with respect to holding peace talks about Ukraine. There’s this popular idea that Moscow is waiting for progressive politicians to establish dialogue with. In other words, they are searching for allies among the Western elite.

Indeed, there are some there who sympathize with us or even support us, but there has been no concrete breakthrough at the moment. As for Musk, he doesn’t seem reliable. He waivers, draws attention to himself and passes out after drinking. How do you deal with people like that? They would let you down in difficult times.
