The democratic government and political leaders should take a courageous stand against American dictation on national security, protection of independence and constitutional sovereignty and national honor and respect.

1. First, the Negroponte team should be denied direct meetings with the President, political leaders and the generals. He represents the American Government. The meetings should only be held with the Foreign Minister in line with international diplomatic standards, after which indirect contacts can be made with the Ministries of Defense and Finance. This step will deny information of our political leadership and program to the Americans and thus will create difficulties in any planned plots against us, therefore stopping the U.S. interference in our internal affairs.

2. The self-reliance and partnership capital based policies can be adopted in lieu of interest based loans and bonds. The U.S. should not be pleaded to for loans.

3. If threats of military measures and economic sanctions are given against our security, we should also threaten to conduct ten atomic explosions in the Indian Sea to make the water radioactive. This will close shipping and sea trade routes and the U.S. and West will suffer more than us. India will not side with the U.S. due to this threat because India will be badly hurt with this measure and would avoid the danger of an atomic war with Pakistan.

4. As the U.S. is already stuck badly in Afghanistan and Iraq and is also avoiding confrontation with Iran. It will not dare to drop nuclear bombs on us due to fear of radioactivity in India, Afghanistan and Central Asia. After the radioactivity of the Indian Ocean, the U.S. would not dare attack us as they did Afghanistan. Even if the U.S. threatens nuclear strike, Pakistani nuclear assets are hidden in mountains away from U.S. satellite photography. The government of Pakistan may call on the whole population of Pakistan to move to agricultural plains and areas along rivers and canals. The buildings could therefore be destroyed by bombardment of the large cities, but still our lives and properties would be saved. Certainly, democratic leaders especially, Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Asfand Yar Wali, will have to develop the courage of national honour.

Whether It Is Kingship, Beggary, Richness, or Poverty
Nothing Can Be Done Without Courage

5. Asif Ali Zardari should set Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan free and rehabilitate him at Khan Research Laboratories. He is the person who gave practical shape to the vision of Zardari's father-in-law and leader of his political party, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Americans will get the message of Pakistani national courage i.e. "Keep off Pakistan", after which no one will dare attack Pakistan. If God wills!

6. In line with the mandate given by the people on February 18th, introduce an impeachment motion at the Assembly's joint session against the Nov 3rd PCO of Musharraf, which will suspend his powers.

7. Rehabilitate and activate Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and 60 other judges by an executive order.

8. Move forward the peace policy in Swat and in the Northern Areas.

9. The 62 point constitutional package is not backed by a mandate of elections, and media and public opinion. Asif Ali Zardari should release it to the press for comments by the people and intellectuals via media and make amendments according to public aspirations. However, delaying the immediate rehabilitation of the Chief Justice in the guise of constitutional package due to American pressure, Musharraf and his personal interests is total defiance of public mandate.
