The Arab League strongly condemns the Israeli High Court's decision of building the Israeli museum on an Islamic cemetery in occupied Jerusalem.

It says this procedure comes after a series of continuous acts aimed at Israelizing the city and wiping out Islamic features of it.

Its Secretariat also demands in its declaration that all countries and local and international organizations who are concerned, to intervene in order to stopp this decision from taking place, indeed, assuring that it violates one of the most holly places in occupied Jerusalem which, according to international law, is "considered an illegal act towards a holy place."

The cemetery contains remains of tens of thousands of companions and followers of Prophet Muhammad, peace be with him, and the martyrs and the scientists and also the soldiers of Saladin. To that end, it's been considered 130 dunums of Islamic property.

It also condemns demolitions and attacks committed by Jewish settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and called on the Security Council and the International Quartet for an immediate response of necessary measures in order to stop these attacks.

It also declares its anxiety following up the Israeli attacks against properties and olive groves in the Palestinian city of Hebron and other parts of the West Bank, warning of these attacks' reaction on efforts exerted to achieve security in the West Bank.
