The American president has given a strong indication that his troops will withdraw from Iraq in 2011. He made this promise when he was a candidate, renewed it upon his inauguration, and it was confirmed again on his visit to Iraq, where he met with his troops and Iraqi officials.

Obama advised officials in Iraq to involve everyone in the government and security, meaning that he is open to having others intervene in Iraq. This means the Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) and all Arab countries without exception must join the Iraqis in governance.

Iraq's situation is critical, as contact between sectarian groups threatens to explode at any moment into a sectarian war. This has happened during the last few years, and the Iraqi government has been able to overcome every emergence of strife.

The most serious threat for Iraq after withdrawal will come from groups that are lying in wait to intervene, making no effort to conceal their purpose in Iraq. Such groups will enter through the sectarian gate. Iraq has suffered from similar challenges in the past, but in order for Iraq not to fall into this trap after the withdrawal, openness is required on the part of the Arab world. Iraq is an Arab nation, and it is the responsibility of its Arab brothers to step up and fill the vacuum left by the U.S.

The Arab League began with a positive move, but more must be done in order to retain Iraq's Arab environment.

  1. you poor fools if you think america is going to walk away from 40 years of oil reserves you need to check and see what planet you live on.

this was about oil by two oil men cheney and bush jr.

america needs that oil reserves to keep any kind of wealth intact in their country.

    oil is like black gold.

america is now building up to 70 american military bases right now in iraq as I write these words.

americans have their puppet gov locked up in the green zone to protect them from their own people who knows what is going on in their country.

americans will find an excuse to stay in iraq as the civil war breaks out as they begin to leave. too much oil to leave.

why do you think americans are building those american military bases?

    wait and see.
