Does America Want to Make North Korea into Iraq?

Recently the situation on the Korean Peninsula has been fermenting.

China has suggested an emergency six-party meeting, which the U.S., Japan and South Korea disagree with and have instead repeatedly held U.S-South Korean and U.S.-Japanese military exercises. They are considerably unafraid of a severe reaction from North Korea.

The reason could be that America wants to return to Asia, wants to apply pressure on North Korea, wants to surround China and wants to give China a warning …

Is it because they hope or are unafraid of agitating North Korea? Do they think that by angering the North that they are able to gain a better foothold? Using these as excuses to ambush and wreck havoc on North Korea’s military? And even destroy North Korea’s nuclear capabilities?

North Korea is not as big as Iraq. If America believes that through their military strength can attain their goal, does this mean that they want to make North Korea a little “Iraq”? Use a desperate attack as a means to deal with the North Korean nuclear issue?

In any case, after using force, even if this causes North Koreans to become refugees, there is no way they would be fleeing to the U.S. If North Korea has already become nuclear (they may not be yet), they still are unable to attack the U.S.

Correct?

With regards to both sides, shouldn’t they be concerned about this. Are there any precautions?
