The purpose of this is also to inform Americans that the U.S. is still the world’s leader — on top of that, to instill fear by demonstrating its military threat to the world. From the images revealed by the media, the electromagnetic railgun is able to obliterate a target that is more than 100 miles away at five times the speed of sound. Compared to the Tomahawk missile, the electromagnetic railgun is much faster and more powerful in destroying all targets.
