Larijani: U.S. Tyranny Is One Reason for Revolutions in the Region
The head of the Islamic Shura Council said that one of the main reasons for the revolutions in the region is U.S. tyranny; people are tired of the modern American oppression at the international level.
According to Mehr News Agency, during the ninth international forum of researchers in the field of Quran in Tehran, Ali Larijani stated that what befell the dictatorial rulers in the region is humiliation and scandal. He stated that the injustice cannot continue and that this is a divine year. If politicians deviated from the right path and fled from justice, the divine laws are proving that they will get punished in this world.
Larijani pointed to America’s support for authoritarian countries in the region. He continued to argue that one of the most important root causes of the revolutions in the region is U.S. tyranny, and that people are tired of modern American oppression at the international level.
He said there are countries that do not enjoy basic human rights, but America ignores this when it is advantageous and does not pursue the development of human rights in those cases. There is a country where women are not entitled to drive cars, but America has a strategic relationship with this country; that entails deception.
He added that Americans create hype about Iran's nuclear program, while they conceded in 2003 that Iran's nuclear technology was peaceful. They realize that they are liars. This policy is based on deception and lies. For this reason, the international system lacks independence.
He said the Americans do not imagine giving the green light for some countries to invade Bahrain, and that they can change their circumstances. However, the the revolution in Bahrain will only become more refined.
