Gerwald Claus-Brunner, a Pirate Party representative in the German parliament, called quotas for women in the workplace a “booby bonus.” Karin Christmann welcomes his gender-political initiative, but has a few questions she wants clarified. She also makes the case for more protection of the chromosomally disadvantaged.

Saying certain things on the political stage is sure to attract people's undivided attention. Now the curtain has gone up for Gerwald Claus-Brunner, the Pirate Party representative. He recently sent a tweet saying that women who favor such a quota are just looking for a “booby bonus.” The ensuing shit-storm, a label as richly deserved as it was expected, has since passed. Still, the representative has failed to answer a few questions concerning his gender-specific policy:

Should the booby bonus be proportional to cup size? Does Claus-Brunner have a variety of women to grope ranging from Bonus Class B (Better than Nothing) to Bonus Class M (Monster Boobies)? And finally, should men who may be pigeon-breasted and/or potbellied be compensated accordingly — a sort of “booby bonus” for those with Y-chromosomes?

The Pirate Party representative owes us all an answer instead of lamenting his fate as a member of parliament. He has said he makes a notch for each day of his life he wastes there. Perhaps one of these days he'll get some help from the voters in escaping his predicament. And that includes women who not only have boobs but brains as well.
