If Trump were to implement his threat, he would, in essence, be Vladimir Putin's partner in crime in a war of aggression that violates international law.

For a nation founded on massacres of Native Americans and centuries-long African slave ownership, the lurch towards racism under Trump is not surprising.

[I]t Is appalling to see the person in charge of the U.S. nuclear arsenal acts like a spoiled child.

What perhaps remains unresolved, is how long the American electorate will allow Trump to reduce their country into a paranoia state, an empire of appalling tantrums and ragtag diplomacy.

Washington now faces choices: proceed with the deal and adjust its conception of alliances in the region or succumb to legislative stagnation and reject or downgrade the deal.
