The aura of death has surrounded U.S. Vice President JD Vance since Pope Francis took his last breath less than 24 hours after an audience with him — like Queen Elizabeth after a meeting with short-lived British Prime Minister Liz Truss at Balmoral. Indian Prime Minister Modi should be worried.

India’s prime minister, dressed all in white like Francis and a Hindu god, gave Vance an audience in Delhi on the occasion of his trip to India on Easter Monday. On Tuesday, the 74-year-old was still in good health.
