Donald Trump on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Performance: ‘Absolutely Terrible, One of the Worst Ever!’

Donald Trump, many in his administration and other MAGA followers called on Americans not to watch Bad Bunny’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl for weeks. Hours before the game began, young members of Turning Point, the outreach organization founded by murdered activist Charlie Kirk, urged Americans to “Say no to woke and tune in to TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show.” Moments after the Puerto Rican performer finished his 13-minute show, which used music and symbols to defend an America beyond the United States, the U.S. posted on his Truth Social platform, “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” By posting, the president admitted that he, too, had been part of the show’s massive audience.
“It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for the young children that are watching this from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” Trump went on, describing the show as a “slap in the face” to his country. The president had promoted an alternative performance headed by Kid Rock, former rap metal star and his personal friend, accompanied by a handful of second-rate country singers.
In his message, Trump predicted very good reviews for Bad Bunny from what he calls the “fake news media” because, in his opinion, “they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the real world.” In the space where the U.S. president lives, he contends that his country, “is setting new standards and records every single day,” citing stock market numbers as an example.
