Everything doesn’t always have to do with anything; some things just happen.
What do they say, that the fluttering of a butterfly’s wings in the African jungle can cause a hurricane on the East Coast of the United States? But it’s for this reason that not everything always has to do with anything; some things just happen.
For instance, the U.S. government − taking a stance more absurdly radical than any other country in the world − refuses to accept the realization that climate change is related to us humans. President Donald Trump and his Cabinet members are doing everything to prevent measures from being taken against global warming.
No other country in the world is this extreme. Except for Saudi Arabia. The Saudis support the U.S. unconditionally. Saudi Arabia, ruled by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is strongly suspected of having orchestrated a political murder, whose assertions of innocence no one in the world believes. No one, except for U.S. President Trump.
In this way, the actions of one and those of the other come together to form a coherent whole in the observer’s head. Although there’s no reason for it, other than that one can imagine it. But that’s already bad enough.
