Only two days after the major fall of Wall Street, Barack Obama who was 5% behind his republican opponent, got 2% ahead. Professionals from the Gallup institute believe that the markets unbalance and the publics lack of trust towards the economy, which the republican governments policies are thought to have had a role in, are several of Obamas causes of improvement.
About 81% of Americans believe the economical situation is worse than before. This week, John McCain while describing Americas economical structure, called it “steady and stable”. He later had to reword the phrase, but only a small mistake is enough for the opponent to get ahead.
The democrats continuous attacks on McCain and even many of the republicans disagreement with him caused some sections of society with lower incomes to be drawn towards Obama. According to Obamas economical plans, families with an income less than 250 thousand dollars will be included in a tax discount program and this can be applied to most Americans. The situation is so bad that the Bushs government spokesperson, in an effort to defend the governments efficiency, could not even confirm McCains words. During the days following the fall of Wall Street, McCain has tried to show a new picture different than before and has claimed to put limitations and supervision on the stock market. While the republicans, traditionally do not agree with a rough control over the market and McCain does not have a good record on this field, McCain claimed that during his presidency this situation will change and improve.
In the current atmosphere, when economy is the main issue on the table, Barack Obama, unexpectedly exposed himself to the camera and neutrally talked about his economical plans for two minutes on a television commercial. The democrat candidate pointed at the 600 thousand lost jobs and peoples problems and said that he agrees with major basic changes in Washington and that the spending of the Americans money in Iraq must be put to an end. At the end he also claimed that the bitter fight between the right and left parties will not solve Americas problems, but unison and solidarity will. This process of propaganda has caught some of the experts off-guard, as the Obama campaign has spent a whole lot of money on destructive and negative advertisement against McCain. But Obamas election mate has not yet succeeded in affecting the statics much. Joe Baden, the experienced senator, is waiting for a televised confrontation with Sarah Palin to use it to forward the democrats ticket.
On the Republican Party, there have been no significant positive changes. In a speech, McCains senior advisor said that the republican candidates cannot even run a commercial company. Following this, Carly Fiorina, HPs former manager, has been practically removed from the media stage by the republicans. The candidates advisors usually take part in interviews and disputations to promote the candidates points of view. He continued by stating that they do not tend to compete over running companies, but he could not answer the question of whether a candidate must be able to rule a major economy like the United States or not. McCains campaign will probably keep him away from the media until further notice.
Another interesting incident on the republicans party was the revealing of Sarah Palins emails. Her email account on yahoo, gov.palin@yahoo.com, was hacked by an experienced group and five pictures from the Alaska governors emails were published on the Internet. Two years ago, some of the republicans officials, who did not want their emails analyzed, claimed that they have all been deleted. Some experts believe that although the governor, as an official, must contact her coworkers through an official email account, so that a track can be kept. She, however, had used a personal email account for a document involving the eviction of her sisters ex-husband from the military force, to avoid investigation and questioning.
The interference of the personal relations and matters in governmental cases has tangled up Sarah Palin in a bad situation and McCains attorneys seek help from a judge appointed by him, to keep Palin away from further State Committee investigations and questioning, a committee that consists of members from both parties.
