The Obama Phenomenon!

Edited by Louis Standish.

Obama is not just a candidate for the presidency of the strongest country on Earth. He has become a global phenomenon that has returned after a long absence of romance novels and films after the era of chivalry ended and the knights died! Obama, who possesses a natural charisma, has become a shining symbol of humanity missed by the people of the world who have waited for so long to be amazed and fascinated. He even campaigns wearing a t-shirt and sneakers!

Only in America can such a storybook tale come true. And the climactic scene is anticipated to be a defining moment in the history of America and her allies. Why? Because Obama will win. His success is a golden opportunity for America to wash away the dust that covers the body of the Statue of Liberty, revealing the historic words that describe its lofty human values, words that have attracted immigrants from all corners of the Earth, and having done so, ate those words!

On the other hand, the bigots believe that putting a young black man in the White House will amount to an economic and national security disaster! This is the belief that McCain currently propagates daily in his speeches in order to spread fear to the wealthy classes and owners of financial capital of the future intentions of the Young Black Marxist! Fears that he would redistribute wealth, taking from the rich and giving it to his supporters in the middle-class, including his friend Joe the Plumber, to whom he has promised riches after he takes office!

It is interesting that Obama, who was born on August 4, 1961, is accused of having little experience compared to his rival, and yet he is able to run his campaign with a wisdom and an efficiency unseen in any previous election, as his campaign has received the highest amount of recorded contributions from his supporters, totaling 650 million dollars, including 150 million in the month of September alone. This is about three times the amount of his rival, despite the fact that he is the spokesperson of the wealthy. The difference between the two is that Obama depended on the contributions of a few sharks rather than his young, poor supporters. It is one of the lessons learned from his campaign, the success which is now a reference point to measure Obama’s ability and qualifications for managing the American economy and its national security. What distinguishes the current election from previous ones is the inclusion of millions of newly-registered voters, most of whom are young people who have not voted before, most of whom who supporting Obama. He presents himself as a role model for voters to achieve change that could not be achieved without them.

The selection of the new U.S. President will determine the way the current financial crisis will be confronted, a crisis thatÂ’s causing the world great suffering. The choice is between two candidates with different visions. In an Obama administration, we will witness greater government involvement in the market than is currently seen and the imposition of government controls, while McCain believes in continuing the free market and not imposing any new taxes during the recession so as not to weaken the ability of investors to set up new projects and employment opportunities.

I believe that the monopoly of America leading the world after the collapse of the Soviet Union her made her vulnerable as she relaxed, disengaged, became arrogant and thus ended up in its current predicament. Anyone currently alive does not need proof to see a noticeable difference between the U.S.’ level of performance and service before and after she became the only superpower. And this appears to be the reason behind China’s renaissance, a country that still maintains the spirit of competition with America and her neighbors. Similarly, India is careful to maintain its permanent superiority over Pakistan, which I expect will not rest until it sends a message like the one which India sent last week in to order to discover the secrets of the moon.

Meanwhile, the heat of the campaign is intensifying in its last week, in anticipation of the inauguration of the next president, regardless of his name, which may not be known until the 4th of November! About 240 thousand tickets have been prepared for the occasion of the chosen president’s inauguration party on January 20th. The ticket price to attend is only between 2,000 and 3,000 dollars! And the cost of complete hotel accommodations is no less than the cost of the ticket. Everyone is afraid that the young, ambitious Obama will feel pressured to defend the accusations of the campaign after his expected win, at the expense of the Arabs and Muslims.
