If we were to produce a TV show on the scandals of the rich and famous in the U.S., we would probably have enough news to air a new episode every day. The episodes would have one thing in common — addiction to sex.

So, I am reading a column by a female writer. The article takes up the whole page of the newspaper and the headline is “Sleep with Him for One Million Dollars? Never.” — next to Larry King’s picture with his orange hair blowing in the wind.

Larry King is not an attractive man, yet has had eight marriages. His current wife, with whom he tied the knot in the hospital right before his heart surgery, is filing for divorce, after Larry slept with her sister. She is demanding half of Larry’s $144 million and his 18-room mansion in Beverly Hills. The sister, on the other hand, who is already being bombarded with expensive gifts from Larry — a $300,000 car being one of them — will most likely be the ninth Mrs. King.

Tiger Woods is still heading the game on the sex scandals. It was recently revealed that the famous golf player had been spending thousands of dollars on women to have group sex. He has been getting treatment for his sex addiction. Tiger, who has over one billion dollars, will surely have a tough divorce. It almost seems like an addiction to sex is the new trend in the world of the rich. They find the ultimate satisfaction in bed when they blow their money on hookers. So Tiger has a list of 20 ladies, which is not even close to the list of famous basketball player Wilt Chamberlain. In his biography, he admitted that he has been with 15,000 women. Another sex-addicted basketball player is Michael Jordan. Both shooters never had treatment on their addiction.

Charlie Sheen, from Two and a Half Men, and the star of the X-Files series David Duchovny are yet two other actors who have been treated for sex addiction. Sheen was very generous and spent over $100,000 a year for hookers.

Some people even got themselves in trouble for their abnormal behavior around sex addiction. The famous director, Roman Polanski, raped a 13-year-old girl in Los Angeles. He was arrested last year and is still under house arrest in Switzerland. Actress Mia Farrow left her husband Woody Allen, who took naked pictures of their adopted child Soon Yi Previn. He then married Soon Yi, who is 34 years younger than him. Hugh Grant, who is known to be fond of colored women, was caught and arrested while having sex with a prostitute in his car. Pee-Wee Herman, the children’s hero, was caught exposing his penis in a theater. Rob Lowe’s videotapes of him and underaged girls having sex got himself in trouble for a long time. Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James is expected to drag their marriage through a divorce for having sex with prostitutes.

The biggest fear of all sex-addicted men is the Bobbit Syndrome. John Wayne Bobbit was constantly beating and cheating on his wife. One night, his wife cut off his penis and threw it in a field. After she told the story to the police, Bobbit’s organ was found and successfully re-attached to his body after a nine-hour surgery. The incident was followed by an immediate divorce.
