Obama's Zionist Speech

When President Obama gave his speech yesterday in the General Assembly of the United Nations and spoke about the Arab-Israeli conflict, it was as though he was impersonating one of the Zionist leaders of Israel.

His speech was Israeli and Zionist par excellence, so much so that he didn’t leave anything for the Zionist enemy’s prime minister to add when he addressed the General Assembly.

A few days ago I wrote about the war which the American administration is waging on the Palestinian people, destroying any hope they had of recovering their rights and establishing their state. Obama’s speech was a blatant and unequivocal declaration of this war, not only against the Palestinian people but against all Arabs.

We can only reflect on the contents of the speech and what exactly it meant. Obama raised four key points in his speech:

First, the Arabs are the ones who have committed crimes against Israel, and Israel is nothing but a poor victim. The Arabs, according to him, are the ones who hate Israel and the ones who wage war after war on her, and they are the ones who want to eliminate her from existence.

The direct meaning of what he said is that Israel is fully within her rights for all the crimes and massacres she commits against the Palestinian people and against anyone in the region, and she is fully within her rights to confiscate any of Palestine’s rights. Poor, innocent Israel.

Second, America’s commitment to Israel’s security is unwavering. The friendship between America and Israel is eternal and so on. Here, the meaning is also clear. America is with Israel in heart and mind in everything Israel may do or want. This also means that there is no space in the world for anyone who thinks, even for a second, that Israel can be fair or impartial or even neutral and independent in her stance.

Third, there is no space to talk about a Palestinian state except through direct negotiations with Israel. This means that international law has no weight and no value, along with any international resolutions which support the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state and end the occupation. There is similarly little meaning to the international community’s approval of Palestine’s membership within the United Nations.

In other words, this means that Palestine must simply accept Israel’s wishes and submit to the Israeli entity. In order for Obama to emphasize this clearly in his speech, he was careful to talk about the Jewish people’s ‘historic homeland.’ This means that in Obama’s eyes, the Palestinian land rightfully belongs to the Jews, and the Palestinians have no right to the land or anything else.

Obama didn’t stop there. He was not content with asking the Palestinians and the Arabs to forget about a Palestinian state and any rights. The fourth point of his speech was the the Arabs should praise Israel by recognizing her and establishing normal relations with her.

This is what Obama proposed in his speech.

As we see, it is no exaggeration when we say that this was a Zionist speech par excellence.

Obama is only coming out with all this Zionist hysteria because the Palestinians dared to request full membership for the Palestinian state in the United Nations, just because they dared to request something that is the least of their historical rights, a right essentially guaranteed to them by all binding international resolutions and international laws. Obama has attempted to preempt and justify the expected scandal, the scandal of the American veto in the Security Council against the Palestinian and Arab demand. He has preempted it with an even bigger scandal.

It is now of no concern to the Arabs. They do not ask: Why did Obama do this? Why has he adopted this disgraceful stance? Did he do this in preparation for the coming elections to appease the Jews and the Israelis?

It is no longer worthwhile to talk about Obama’s promises or his previous innovative statements about a ‘just peace’ and the Palestinian rights.

What is important now is the situation the Palestinians and Arabs are facing, one which Obama has clearly outlined. The situation is something we have mentioned in previous articles many times. The Palestinians and the Arabs are facing one single Israeli-American enemy. This means that now or in the near future, any acceptance of negotiations will represent a crime against the Palestinian people’s rights since this implies a previous acceptance of surrender to Obama’s will. Let the Palestinians go to the Security Council, and let America use the veto. Let America be engulfed in shame in front of the entire world. Following that, let the Palestinians go to the General Assembly and get recognition from the majority of the states in the world. This is a long historical battle and is just a step on the long road to recovering the rights of the Palestinians.
