Does Obama Have No Other Choice but To Threaten Iran?

Mehr News Agency – International Group: Barack Obama, the President of the United States, yet again announced his nation’s certain support of Israel and made threats concerning the nuclear program of Iran in his speech before the yearly conference of the Israeli lobby, known as AIPAC. It seems the White House’s man of “change” had no other choice but to deliver this speech.

America is the strongest nation militarily and economically in the world right now and metropolitan America [TC: its geopolitical sphere of influence] has actually monopolized the largest and most expansive unified block in the world. Widespread allies from Asia, Europe, the Americas, Australasia and even Africa have extended the security boundaries of this nation throughout the world.

Almost every nation in the world today is striving in their interactions with this nation to make their deep and strategic partnership deeper still; however, some among these nations share a special friendship, and Israel is the most important of them all.

Almost every nation in the world – dependant on their own power and ability – extends ties with Washington in a manner of ways, but one of the most important methods of deepening ties is creating and establishing lobbies. Lobbyists roam the halls of Congress altering the policies of this country for their own benefit or, in other words, to the detriment of their enemies.

The Zionist regime [Israel] is one of the most important players that has a powerful lobby in the United States. In fact, this regime has control over the biggest lobby in America dealing with foreign policy: the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC.

It considers preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, supporting Israel in guaranteeing its security in the Middle East, defending Israel against future threats, preparing a future pro-Israel generation and leaders and educating Congress regarding the Israel-America [alliance] to be among its priorities.

Each year, this lobby holds its yearly conference in the diplomatic capitol of Washington. During this conference, which is for addressing issues concerning Israel and its enemies, Iran is introduced as the most important threat to Israel. What is most significant about all of these conferences is that usually American presidents announce their nation’s “unwavering commitment” to support Israel against Islamic threats, including Iran.

In this conference, which thousands of influential Israeli supporters attend, the U.S. president by way of routine must announce his opposition to Iran’s nuclear program and assure the supporters of Israel of America’s “sacrosanct commitment” in support of Tel Aviv. But the important question is why the presidents’ speeches are repeatedly delivered at the AIPAC conference and emphasize the same issues every year.

Without a doubt, AIPAC and its affluent supporters are the most important procurers of candidates’ campaign expenditures in America, especially for Democrats. Democrats have always claimed between 60 to 80 percent of the Jewish vote over the past century, and this could not have been possible without the backing and support of major financial sponsors who are members or supporters of AIPAC.

When AIPAC started its activities in the 1950s, the only name that appeared was Si Kennan, its founder, but today this organization has 50 thousand members in 50 countries around the world. Among the activities of this organization, which has great influence in the legislative and decision-making assemblies of America, are 2,000 annual meetings with members of the U.S. Congress, passing over 100 bills in Congress that favor the Zionist regime, allocating billions of dollars in aid for Israel’s security and funding a joint effort for creating a system of defense against unconventional weapons.

AIPAC operates in approximately 200 colleges across the globe, and these are aimed at training students to demonstrate the importance of ties between the Zionist regime, the U.S. and the supporters of this relationship all over the world.

The unparalleled influence of this lobby in every aspect of American society and politics has resulted in American presidents having no other choice but to repeat these words. In fact, one could liken this speech to a speech on special occasions where nothing will ever be said other than what is required.
