America Is the Biggest Loser

The American administration is still clearly biased and still favors the Zionist entity. Abetted by its international stance toward the Palestinian people, it therefore is neglecting its moral and historic responsibility. The world is a witness to its arbitrary and provocative stances, the latest of which was the closure of the Palestine Liberation Front* office in Washington D.C., which came in response to the Palestine Liberation Organization’s attempts to file complaints against Israel at the International Criminal Court, urging it to investigate the crimes committed on Palestinian territories and the expansion of settlements. The pretext this time was the protection of allies’ interests, as the PLO didn’t take any positive steps on the path of negotiations with the Zionist entity.

These weak justifications, which clearly indicates the bias of the American administration, and which are not in alignment with the minimum standards applicable to the most powerful force in the world, appeared to affirm the pattern followed by its leaders and its willingness to succumb to the interests of the Zionist entity. This passion for Israel blinds the American administration and makes it unable to see the real interests of the United States, as it only thinks about the best interests of Israel, even if that means hindering the application of international law and placing obstacles in the path of justice.

What is truly confusing in this case is not only the American-Israeli position, but also the surprising Arabic-Islamic stance. America is now sacrificing its interests as it works to prove the legitimacy of the Israeli entity on the occupied Palestinian territories and the ending of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict at the expense of the Palestinians. Is it possible that the Muslims and Arabs finally managed to perceive this American passion for Israel – but nevertheless didn’t make any move to deter this reckless administration or to try to influence its decisions? Are the interests of the United States with the Zionist entity more important than its interests with the Arabic and Islamic countries? Or did the American administration reach the conviction that the [Arab] nation has died and is now immune to all events and blows?

The least that decision-makers can do is to prove to their people that they have the capability to confront this American arrogance and to inform the American administration that its interests will be harmed by the continuation of this policy. But, absent that, the American administration will continue to implement the step-by-step “Deal of the Century.”

* Editor’s note: The office in Washington D.C. is for the Palestine Liberation Organization, not the Palestine Liberation Front.
